An iconic place in Bangalore which makes you feel nostalgic. You see all age groups of people here. Located in the streets of st Mark’s road. It has typical old school ambience. You need to wait for the table during weekends. Service was prompt. Menu is typical continental. We ordered mutton cutlet, bacon and eggs, tandoori chicken. Mutton was too delicious. Deep fried crispy bacon was amazing. Tandoori chicken was good. Price is on the higher side for the quantity which is served. But taste and quality of the food is appreciated.

This iconic establishment has stood test of time. Minimal furniture and no frills, it has a huge loyal following. We went early morning for breakfast and ordered Spanish omelette and coffee. Both were served fast and potions were just right for single person. They also have a bar cum restaurant which opens in the afternoon. The old world charm is still intact here.

A slow paced, retro restaurant known for the English breakfast. You get an experience of old Bangalore at this classic restaurant. Know for Spanish Omlette, Bread Toast and Appam (Sunday’s only), a great place for a Sunday morning brunch.

A classic legendary outlet in Bengaluru reminds you of coffee house.. With uniformed waiters and classic build.. It takes you back in time.. The legend about amazing soft bread of there sandwithes stand true. Try any sandwich and their coffee..

One classic hotel still serving in style ambience will take you back as you step in, with the perfect staff in the white uniform, warm & helpful to suggest and serve you quick.

Heavenly English breakfast,I found everything here is like antique. Starting from menu to food, ambience and the employees all will be like they maintained very well from multiple decade. I feel items are little over priced but surely a must visit place if you are around MG road.

Koshy’s is touted as a Bangalore institution, going back to the days where there were hardly any restaurants around. I visited Koshy’s around 3 years back and did so again recently. I am adding to the review I wrote before , so here are my impressions.Ambience is good but nothing great, it has an old world charm , the old furniture and the old Bangalore pictures put up only add to this feel. Seating is decent, could be better.Coming to the food we have tried a variety of dishes, these include eggs sunny side up with toast, orange juice, tomato and cheese sandwich, scrambled eggs on toast, appam with stew, chicken sandwich , veg cutlet and tea. The standout is definitely the appam with stew, served only on Sundays, it’s a definite must try, mutton/veg cooked in a coconut based broth, it’s delicious. The eggs are good , but the rest of the dishes are just fine. No real flavour punch nor much seasoning to any of the dishes. Please note1 . This is a breakfast review only.2. Parking for two wheelers is available, but still could be hard on a weekend. Parking for 4 wheelers is quite a challenge.3. Prepare to wait in line especially on weekends as it gets really crowded. Best to get there 15 min – 30 min prior to opening (especially on Sunday)4. Portion sizes are generally on the smaller size, depends on the dish you order.Overall Koshy’s is worth a visit once , the heavy crowd coupled with the tough parking and the general low flavour in the food at a pretty steep price point do not bode well for multiple visits. How ever if you are looking for a place to tap into the old world charm of yesteryear Bangalore, Koshy’s is the place for you.VFM – 3/5TASTE – 3.5/5AMBIENCE – 3.5/5
