Please be little more focus on food presentation,it’s not at all upto the mark compare to what it suppose to be. If staff can’t even handle two guest properly then think about what will happen when you go sold out. Server need to be little more patience to listen what customer wants. My expectations was something else then what I experienced in reality. I don’t think m gonna go back .Anyways thanks for complimentary Dessert and cold drink .All the best.
I am a lover of modern Indian cuisine and The open Box is one such magical places in Bangalore that provides the best of the fusion food. Located next to sister brand Misu, this place is quirky and have a theme everyday. I happened to visit it on Wednesday, the Games day. Beer pong, pool etc, this place knows how to pull the crowd and keep them engaged, maybe that’s why it was pretty full on a Wednesday night.AmbienceThe place is basically two floored, and the base floor is divided into two, separated by a large bar counter. The chandeliers are large and innovative and the tiny bulbs render it a mildly dark yet happening look. seating is chair based with base cushion and wooden chairs. Mostly open to the air, the place has a young Aura and definitely goes well with the music and fusion food.Food and drinksChana jor garam and peanut masalaThe ideal chakna with mildly sauced peanuts and Bengal gram. Quantity served is just right.Crispy lotus stemNot the usual chilli honey lotus stem, but crispy tossed in GunPowder masala. Something new for me and an absolute delight.Crispy chicken popcornBit soggy and mild in flavor.Egg and chicken MaggiPrepared using their in house masala and topped with Sunny side up, the whole preparation tasted good and had loads of veggies.Keema Matar charcoal samosa.Loved it. Dark black gujjiya/empanada shaped samosa filled with juicy and spicy keema filling.Ghee roast chicken tacosThis fusion of Mexican and Mangalorian went just fine. The ghee roast flavor could be topped up a bit and filled more in the tacos.Buttermilk fried chickenMy favorite from the night, cripy tender chicken pieces on satay sticks served with flavored mayo.Coorgi coffee tiramisuWhats better than a tiramisu made with very famous coorgi coffee. Soft and more of the whipped cream nature.TOB SherbatThis had pomegranate and a hint of chilli that gave the right hit and the end of the sip. Best from the night.Genie in the bottleFancy drink with litchi flavor and vodka based, played well with nitrogen fog.Science projectTaking us back in our school chemistry lab days, this vodka based drink is served in a conical flask with nitrogen fog making it look like a freshly executed experiment, after mixing blue Curacao with orange juice giving it the green color.Service and costingMedium Expensive place and worth every penny. Service is satisfactory and the staff is attentive as well as good numbered. instagram.com
