Quiet, beautiful café on the terrace of a furniture/antiques store. Kaafi peaceful if you intend to get a big chunk of work done. They had a v chill, interesting playlist that went well w working. The people at the café were unassuming, kind and friendly. They also have some reasonably priced Parsi food (a rarity in bangalore)Only problem is that their restroom could’ve been better maintained, because the rest of the café was extremely well-kept and clean.
If only looks were everything! This charming little heritage building with its elevated, old school architecture and a blossoming terrace garden is easy on the eyes. Pretty without going OTT this space is perfect to hit pause on life and sip on a cuppa with a friend or two. There’s a convenient smoking section on the terrace on the other side. Our Vietnamese coffee however ran a little too watery and a tad too sweet to be able to fully enjoy it. We tried the chicken cutlets as well, and they were decent. I’d have loved the food to have a bit more effort in it, simply because the place looks so so good! Will visit again and perhaps try a different coffee the next time. Recommended for folks who would like to read / work or chat in a quiet space with great lighting and an appealing traditionalist ambience.
This place is amazing with some old school vibe. For a calm and pleasant time, please visit them. They have limited but yummy menu to offer. You can spend some relaxed time here amidst the hustle of Bangalore. I just dropped in for breakfast and was surprised by it. If you love vintage vibes and breezy places, this is just for you. Totally in love with it.
4.5.Such a gem of a place, hidden away in the lanes of Shanti Nagar! So, I just have to start off with the ambience, it’s on the rooftop, it’s so so so beautiful. The place is open and airy, plants everywhere, the decor is very old school and beautiful. Absolutely a 5/5.Coming to the food, we ordered the royal falooda, Parsi chai, chicken farcha and the amaretto torte. The falooda is a must try, it was delicious, a tad too sweet for me but I couldn’t stop drinking it. The Parsi chai was great too, served with the tiniest cutest little cookie. The torte was okay, not my favourite, couldn’t really taste the amaretto, was generously topped with almonds, not the best amaretto torte I’ve had but certainly not the worst. The chicken farcha was great, I’d recommend it.Overall, great experience!Food: 4/5Service: 4/5Ambience: 5/5Value for money: 4.5/5
Beautifully designed cafe with awesome authentic Irani food . One of the best places in Bangalore for foodies and who loves to spend more time sitting alone. Such a calm and quite place.
Cafe at Saanchi. The other day after spending a gruelling time in the State Bank I dashed to catch an auto and get back to work. For a first I felt thankful to the rude and reluctant autowalas of Bangalore. While looking for an auto that would garciously agree to take me to Indiranagar, I discovered this quaint and beautiful place called Cafe at Saanchi located on the quiet Setlur Street, Langford Town.Saanchi is a mesmerizing antique store with 2 levels of antique furniture and decor and the 3rd level housing Kankavalli. The beautiful terrace has this charming little cafe that serves authentic Parsi food. The Menu is not vast but the food is comforting and delicious. I ordered my favourite Chicken Berry Pulao and it was the perfect balance of tangy, sweet and extremely flavourful. The decor is cosy complete with anitque furniture, a bookshelf with a number of interesting books and a beautiful garden. It’s perfect for a lazy lunch or a gupshup over some Irani chai or the different variety of coffee, with friends. If you like Iranian/ Parsi food, and a serene ambience this is the place.
