It’s truly a landmark for Rajajinagar Bashyam Circle. I have been visiting this place since childhood and it as been the same since then. The sambhar you get here is truly exceptional and one of the best in entire Bangalore. I used to love the Masala Dosa over here but I feel it as lost it’s charm over the years. But what remains unchanged is it’s Sambhar,Idlis,Poori,Coffee,Paratha and Mangalore Bajjis. One can truly bank upon this place for breakfast.
Used to have paratha for lunch during my college days. It used to be 10 Rs. Now I think it’s around 40 Rs. The curry along with paratha is one of their trademark dishes. Just get a coffee and have a good view of bashyam circle.
A landmark place at Bhashyam circle, RajajiNagar. True to its name, the filter coffee is a must apart from which is the idly and masala/set dosa, good for anytime of the day and the sambhar is extremely tasty. Even though it’s mainly for breakfast, it caters their throughout the day until late evenings.
This restaurant has been there for a very very long time. Fresh South Indian food on the menu. Mangalore Bajji’s are served hot & popular here.Taste is typical to any Darshini restaurant. Can be improved. It’s a landmark by itself.
For the price, you cannot have better Mangalore Bajji, Gobi Manchurian and coffee around Bashyam circle. A2B is ofcourse there but then darshini experience is something to cherish ! Try it out for an evening pit stop.
I have come here countless times for breakfast. One of the best South Indian tiffin bars in the area. Go as early as possible for sizzling hot breakfast. I recommend the idli and vada with sambar and chutney on side. Feels like heaven!
Underrated is the word which comes to my mind when I see that this place has 3.5 stars on Zomato. This is an old war horse, has stood the test of time for over 50 years and still churns out some of the best South Indian fare in Bangalore. I repeat, it’s one of the best hotels for South Indian fare in the whole of Bangalore and the only draw back is that there is no place to sit.Special mention : Their chutney is easily the best, not the diluted one, opt for the solid (gatti) chutney.Dosa, Idli, Vada and Upma in the mornings and evenings.Parotha for lunch.Mangalore Bajji and Manchurian for the evenings. They’ll make sure you return. It’s a small hotel, there always a huge rush during peak eating hours, parking is difficult to find but it’s all worth it.Kitchen is clean.
