  Was passing by this area n stopped here for a quick bite. Had lemon rice n coffee. Both tasted good. The rice costed 30/- n the quantity is good for one person. Coffee costs 10/-. This is just like any other darshini type hotel. Decent place n can visit without any issues.

  The idea of Darshini has spread far and wide and it now seems like in Bangalore, every other road has a Darshini. Drashini concept is quite simple, to serve quick meals which are in general self-service. They would be having chairs or may only standing. The people will need to take pay, buy taken, show it at counter and get the required item. But then apart from that the idea of parcel has also got established. I visited this restaurant which looks relatively new but they have a parcel counter, boxes, boxes with plastic covers and a separate person. The place seems to have evolved so much and in the time when there isn’t time for anyone. Darshini could be place to get quick food.Let me share my experience on the food I had from this restaurant.LocationIf you are coming from the Nagawara Junction, you will find Elements Mall to the left side. Drive along for 2-3 kms and you will find the signal that has Rashtrodhana school to the right. Cross signal and drive for another 300mts to find a small signal. And this restaurant is situated to the right side.AmbianceA decent place with seating arrange and the setup is quite similar to what we can find at other darshinis. It is surely kept clean.There is a separate counter for parcel. And there you will find a stalk of boxes small and big. Separate size boxes for different item which is quite impressive.FoodThere are many things you might like about a place including location, ambiance, crowd and others. But the food needs to be good to still enjoy it completely. I had a few items at this place.Idly + SambarThe sambar was pretty good and the idli was quite soft & big. The sambar was the typical one that probably has some jiggery inside it. The taste is quite good and you feel why they give a lesser portion of it. Instead you want a lot of sambar.Chutney was put in the cover and it was pretty decent.Poori + SaaguThe poori was a little flaky and in 10mts it was already crumbling. It means that you need to have it fresh. Also means that the dough isn’t as good. But still the saagu was not bad as it contained tomato, potato and other ingredients. With the chutney also alongside the taste was pretty good.Masala DosaThe dosa was pretty good, not that it was a crispy one but yes it was a standard masala dosa that we get. Ideally it is for immediate consumption where it might be quite crispy.Onion DosaIt was pretty good compared to the one that I had in another outlet. There were some chilly pieces but they could be taken off. With the saagu, the dosa was pretty good.CoffeeThe coffee was pretty good and price wise lesser compared to few other places. Taste was pretty good and it wasn’t as sweet.Overall ExperienceI had a good time eating breakfast that I got it parcelled from here. The taste of the food was right up to the mark for a darshini. The ambiance and service was good. For the experience I rate this place at 3.5/5.
