Rosewood floors, green leather sofa chairs, and dim-lighting recreate the era of regimental luxury by our previous colonisers. Ample number of Food & Beverage service staff, in crisp white safari jacket and black trousers look right in place. The bright white napkin folds pop-out.The service is quick, un-intrusive, and heart-felt. The Kakori Kebabs, Gucchi Pulao, Naan-E-Ba-Kumuch, even the adrak niboo paani recast the tales of Chefs’ labour.Children below the age of 14 are not allowed: Peace is the most important ingredient of luxury, I guess. No moment of truth is too small for the team to WOW you.

I had been to Dum Pukht a couple of times and the culinary experience has always been the same, GREAT ! The ambience and decor is awesome with nice music that soothes you while you imbibe the food. We ordered the set menu for vegetarians. I cannot pick any single item here because everything was just so good. But since I have a sweet-tooth, let me tell you that their desserts are excellent with the Gulab Kheer being just AWESOME with strands of Gulab petals sprinkled on Kheer. The staff is attentive and courteous. This place doesn’t cease surprising me !Bala The Connoisseur

This place was on my list ever since I had been to Dum Pukht at ITC Sonar in Kolkata. The service and food both are absolutely amazing and delightful there and the restaurant is almost always packed because of it. I was expecting the same quality of food and experience here as well. However, much to my surprise when I visited this place on a weekend at lunch time I walked into an absolutely empty restaurant with hardly only one table being occupied with customers besides my own. I was not a fan of the decor. It was a little too overwhelming. The waiters here were also lost. I had to ask for drinking water twice after which one of them was kind enough to come and pour some for me. I chose to order the Kakori Kebab as my starter and it was not more than average in taste with a very limited portion. For my main course I ordered the Dum Pukht Biryani considering it is one of the signature items of the restaurant. It was not at all worth the price considering the taste. It was below average. One would be sure to have biryani far better at a restaurant which specialises in the same. I did not even want to be served again even though there was a decent amount of the biryani still left in the serveware. And coming to my dessert which was the Shahi Tukra, it was a disaster. It was nothing close to what a Shahi Tukra should be like with regard to texture or taste. I don’t look forward to visiting this place again. It is not worth visiting a place when you can prepare a much better version of the same item(s) at home and I say this confidently in case of the Shahi Tukra. I request the management to pay more attention to their recipes and create more value for money in their offerings. I am absolutely fine paying a high price considering the quality of food offered is also satisfying. This place unfortunately failed in doing so.

What a wonderful full place with an vintage outlook, the foods were superb and deliciously good. We enjoyed murg dum biryani and spicy paneer. It was really a good experience and staff were really humble and polite. We loved our stay and food in ITC.

This place was in my list for quite some time. I had heard some great reviews about their food, especially their dum biryani and one fine Saturday we thought of trying this place. Following is my experience-Food- We ordered a tomato cream soup(Very creamy and nicely done)Kakori kebab(Delicious ans finely cooked, very succulent and melted in my mouth, just the way it should be cooked!)Sheermal – Well doneKhaimiri Roti ( Very soft and well cooked )Paneer aloo tiki ( This was too very well cooked)Shahi Tukda- Yummy, but, can be heavy. It’s better to share My bone of contention was their dum Mutton biryani – Trust me, it was a let down!! The rice & Mutton we’re separated, it was not well cooked mutton, the mutton needed to be more tender and the rice was also little under cooked. I have had much better Mutton dum biryani in not so fancy places! My ask is, pls make food the real hero! There was lot of potential in the biryani Customer service- Excellent! I loved their personal attention to details Ambience- Blue leather couches, great chandeliers, lot of regal touch, however, it could get little suffocating due to the leather smell. The minute you enter this restaurant, there’s a strong stench of leather. They need to take good care of that Value for money- Expensive

We dined here a couple of years ago. It was fantastic! the Kakori kababs and Warqi paratha were outstanding. The ingredients were fresh and the recipes unique. The service is by far the best hospitality can offer. It was memorable to the point that I remember the manager and wait staff by name. The decor is beyond delightful. The old world charm really worked for us.

Exhorbitant pricing and average food quality especially the dum Pukht biriyani which is not all worth the price of 1,800 that is charged for it. One would be better off going to a restaurant that specialises in biriyani. The kakori kabab was above average at most with a pretty limited portion size.We were not fans of the decor either. Doubtful on whether we would want to give this place a second chance given how excited we were to try it out. Request the management to work on their recipes and creating more value for money in their offerings.
