Thatte Idli is awesome. Dosas are fantastic, made with nandini ghee. They serve two chutneys. Red chutney is spicy, so good. This has to be one of my favourite shops in food street. Situated in the far right end of the street with purple board.Right opp to this, there is one small shop named Idli Mane(white board) Idlis are the softest, fluffiest and off the vessel hot.Tawa pulao and Akki roti are on my list next time based on other reviews.

Good South Indian and multi-cuisine snacks restaurant. I had been there today and ordered paav bhaji and Obbuttu (Hollige). Both items were good in taste and quality. It was also nice to see them making Hollige im front of us, fresh and tasty. No comments on ambience and service as it’s a self service restaurant and you have to stand while enjoying food.

Amazing place to grab some awesome Thatte idlis, Holige, kolbade and Dosa, including other typical south Indian Street dishes as well. Must try their spicy red chutney with idlis.

  • Kartik

Located right in the middle of the food street at VV Puram, this place attracts a lot of crowd. They serve various items and have many live counters inside as well as outside on the street including Opattu, various types of dosas, paddu, Thatte Idly, Pao Bhaji, rice items, and many more. We tried many things, and found Thatte idly soft and nice, and Opattu also very nice and sweet. Sosa was good too and lot of ghee was used to make the same. (They use Nandini ghee). Pao Bhaji was very average however. The prices are very reasonable and it will cost about 50 per head to try various things between a group of friends.

Located on the crowded streets of food Street. You get idli that almost melts in your mouth. This is a good place for people who eat a lot but have a limited budget.

If you are a street food lover, then i am sure you might have visited to Food Street or Thindi Beedi in VV Puram, Basavanagudi. There are so many tiny joints in the Street and everyone are best at least with one of their dishes. Sri Idli Mane is one among those, they have numerous varieties of dishes in the Menu and Thatte Idli is best according to me. Here the Idli’s are soft and piping hot. They will serve Idli with 2 types of chutneys. You should not miss their Jaggery and Coconut Obbattu, if you are a sweet lover. They do have Tawa Pulao, Vada Pav and Dabeli, which are not up to the mark and must avoid these.Prices are reasonable compare to other joints in the Street. bangaloreepicure.com
