Cafe Du Mahe is the restaurant of Tea Bungalow hotel, located a bit away from the main action area in Fort Kochi. It has 3 different seating areas- one in the main lobby cum reception area, another in the corridor outside and the third next to the small pool area. We had the complimentary breakfast and there weren’t too many choices on offer. A freshly squeezed pineapple juice (what they also serve as a welcome drink upon check-in) appeared first followed by fruits- pineapple and banana. We followed it up with an egg white omelette with some (why white?) bread and butter/jam. The breakfast was functional and they have the opportunity to do a lot more with it in terms of range and quality of food. The setting is quite charming and the scope is all there.
