We went upto Swirl after a friend’s wedding at The taj gateway in Kochi. The bar was a pleasant site with soft lighting and the decor was tasteful with a hint of modern art and decor. We ordered for cocktails and drinks.The cosmopolitan and mojitos were mixed well. They don’t have a dance floor but the music was groovy enough to make you want to stand up and shake a leg. One of the few places in Kerala where they serve hard liquor rest have shifted to beer and wine due to the new government ruling. Swirl is a perfect destination for good food and impeccable service which is left wanting is most of the restaurants in Kerala. Service here or for that matter in any Taj property is excellent and they treat you like royalty. All alcoholic drink comes with tapa like peanuts and wafers, that’s standard.Coming to the food, we had Crispy Squid Pepper and Barbecued Paneer, of course there was a vegan amongst us. The pepper squid was crispy and nicely tempered with garlic, pepper and freshly chopped green chillies, even paneer for that matter was soft and masala was perfect. All and all good time spent, good food, nice cocktails, beautiful setting and good service nothing much you could ask for. Coming back soon!
Nice ambience , good music and a classy feel is what one gets in swirl . Nice view of the restaurant too . Overall a good place to sit and chill
Epitome of class. Without any doubt the best place in kochi in terms of mind blowing ambience, toothsome dining options and extremely courteous staff. This place has this unique aura which is bound to get you addicted. Dont forget to savour the heavenly galaouti kebab here.
Excellent interiors, knowledgeable staff and a great collection of drinks make me write a review for this place ! Though we just stepped in for one last drink, I was impressed by the setting of the place, and the interiors that make you want to stay longer. A centerpiece made of wind chimes that rustles every time a breeze blows in, plush sofas are just some of the stand out pieces in Swirl (Though I’d wish they had an outdoor smoking area that would’ve added to the charm). Drinks are a tad bit expensive compared to other places in Kochi, but I guess that comes with the star rating. If you are looking for a quiet evening to catch up with a friend over a cpl of drinks, this is one of ur best bets in Kochi !
