It was a blind dinner search and was preferring to have authentic dishes over tasty ones. As I was walking across, this place caught my eye as it had decent crowd thronging for dinner. We stepped in and was welcomed by the sweet smell of their seafood. We went after a plate of Chicken Biryani, a set of Appam with Beef curry followed by the Trivandrum fish fry.Unlike in TN, biryanis here are much different. The meat was tender but, on the whole, the Biryani was kinda sweet, low in spice and flavourful.Beef, in particular, was out of the world. Wherever you go around Kerala, this dish will never disappoint you. It was soft, spicy and the gravy was something you’d never get elsewhere. The fish fry was completely roast and dry (no gravy) with a sour kick, mild spice but well cooked.Since there was only limited seating, the service wasn’t a concern, but parking would definitely be considering the prime location this place is situated in.
This is definitely one gem of a place if you’d like to taste most malabar food that’s easy on pocket. This is a small place and they’re closed on Sundays. The people here are very polite and help you with suggestions. They speak English, Hindi and Malayalam. Just in case you are a traveller.Their specialities are Biriyanis and Chicken Mandi. We didn’t try their Biriyanis as all of us aren’t keen to try the kerala sytled one.All of the other delicacies are as good as their Biriyani.I ordered the Chappati and Fish curry. They both ordered Appam, Chicken Fry, Idiyappam, Egg Curry and Kerala Parotta. All of these were excellent.Loved their Elanji. Just for INR 10, you get this ‘Malabar crepe’ which is filled with coconut, sugar and tutti frutti. All of these for INR 250 is just, awe!#MarhabaFoodCourt #Chappati #FishCurry #MeenCurry #SeerFishGravy #Elanji #ChickenFry #Appam #VegCurry #ChickenCurry #Parotta#KochiRestos #KochiRestaurants #KaloorRestaurants #TravelTips #ThingstodoinKochi
I recently ordered Porotta and Chicken Chaps which was So delicious and mouth watering. Very nice Food and then I ordered Mandhi But it doesn’t meet my expectation. The taste was entirely different and the rice was half Boiled
One of the best Restaurants in cochin. Top class food. Every food from this hotel have a unique taste. Even the salad itself will make you happy.Keep it up..
Food is good.. beef biriyani is amazing. But the only thing that’s lacking is the staff. They are not ready to clean up after someone eats. A sure put down. But ordering food. This is one of the best places
