The chicken biryani was hopeless and without any taste. Was thoroughly disappointed. The Kerala parotas were edible. The beef fry was quite good but the total experience wasn’t up to my expectations. Also the ambiance was just ok. Service was pretty fast though but what was really disappointing was the biryani.

Yesterday me and my friend went to this restaurant to have dinner. We ordered mutton soup and Barbecue chicken. The taste was excellent. Main highlight is the reasonable pricing for their food menu. There are many choices of food.
Disgusting.overpriced and horrible food.Too bad we got a take away or i would have asked for a refund! It was stale sad pathetic and two chicken biriyani cost rs 330! You know when your someone gets married and you get the left over food from the caterers? It was the same. This is officially my worst experience in kochi!!!! Plus bonus , i got loose motion too! Ugh!! If there was minus five i would give it!!
The lunch meals are awesome while chicken curry and chicken biryani are ok to good. Nice, cheap place for all people. More expensive-Vedanta within same compound owned by same organisation which has amazing breakfast buffet on most days if not everyday that has variety of stuff from both Indian and western worlds (not as expensive as Abad or Renai and way better than Gokulam Park too though the latter ones are good with buffet during Lunch especially Renai and then, Abad where of course, Renai is bit more expensive than Abad). Breakfast buffet, Vedanta lovely while Pappan’s serves everybody where their lunch meals are good with chicken biryani as well as Chapathis with Chicken Curry.Prefer Pappan’s for lunch meals while Vedanta should be the focus of the Organisation with buffets as Dunes next door is awesome with cheap, ok to good meals both Indian and western (Pappan’s is mostly focused on Kerala food which Dunes has Indian and more). Buffet wise, Dunes sometimes has cheap dinner buffet of around 200 to 250 Rupees (less variety than Vedanta). Few occasions, Vedanta has lunch buffets too but breakfast buffet is there always or on most days if not of around 300 to 350 Rupees with huge variety of food from India and West (way more than Dunes though bit less than Renai and Abad though not easy to compare breakfast type of food including Dosas, Appams and curries with breakfast desserts to lunch and dinner meals)(Abad and Gokulam Park ranges from 400 to 600 per person while Renai which can be compared to other 2 and which is way better costs about 700 to 800 per person). There are way better buffets than these also but price tags too are higher like Wyte Fort, Taj, etc.
The restaurant has a nice Ambience. It is right next to the main road – Banerji road but still doesn’t feel like there is havoc all around. The staff were mildly courteous and the menu was not so elaborate. We ordered a chicken curry and a fish curry with some rice and chapathi. The curries were average and then ordered a mutton biryani which was a little bit sweety and I don’t like my biryani sweety. Service was damp and slow. Not an ideal place for good food nor for great hangouts.
