Mixed feelings about this place. We stayed at the Cherai Blue Waters. Not many restaurants around and so had to stick to this place. Service is very slow but staff are courteous. Food is tasty but very few vegetarian options. Best suited for non vegetarians. Breakfast buffet was ok, especially sukhiyan and channa bhatura were good. Coffee and tea were not good at all.
We enjoyed our lunch at whispering winds yesterday. The staff is really kind and accomodating. The best thing is they have quite a lot options available even after 3 in the noon, when the other restaurants in the area do not have much to offer during those timings. The Chef takes all his Time to get the texture and spices perfect. Food Presentation is good. We ordered grilled masala prawns, veg manchurian, aloo paranthe and Kerala parotha plus fresh lime juice. Just that they could keep bigger size in prawns( as per my friend) There is enough space to park and its situated exactly opposite the beach.

Have been to this restaurant ample times in my last year stay at Cherai. The case was no different in this visit.It’s a AC restaurant, the service is good and plenty of space. The staff is courteous and good and take care of all your needsFish curry rice is awesome, so is Fish Mappas and the nandan chicken curry. The Veg Pulao was really good. Have tried their Mixed sea food noodles and chicken steak both were good. Have been there couple of times in my current visit and have not been disappointed. They also serve cocktails tried Bay Breeze and Screw driver both were good.Only missing or low score i would give to is for sweet dish as they had only fruit salad and ice cream. No other options were available for the kids to eat.So if visiting Cherai beach do check this place out. I am sure you would like the food and hospitality. The cost for a couple with few drinks and food came up to Rs 800. So it’s not that expensive too. Overall a good place to eat if you are hitting Cherai beach.
