Been here twice. Once for a lunch and second time for a X’mas dinner. Both the times, we could find a place with a sea view. I would recommend this place only for the ambience.Food: We have tried Mattanchery chicken curry, Fish mango curry, Appam, Kerala wheat paratha, Chicken salad, chicken sandwich, and soup. Chicken curry was good, fish mango curry was ok, and the rest of the dishes were not upto the mark. The food is overpriced and quantity was also really less.Service: It took more than an hour for the food to reach the table and quite disappointing for a happy family dinner. We also faced some problems with the payment as they didn’t inform us while reaching that their card machine doesn’t work.For the disappointment with the food and super slow service, even the ambience doesn’t seem to make a worthwhile visit.

Food – Very Normal Specifically maintained for foreigners who don’t know about Traditional Kerala food .Some of the dishes are ‘idiyappam Biriyani’,Porotta Pizza,Fish curry,appam etc In Kerala style. Taste is average and nothing great.2.Quantity – Here problem starts. Very less quantity. Example idiyappam Biriyani means one prawn in one idiyappam.3.Price – Extremely costly.Eg catch of the day (Fish) costs ₹1100,pizza costs ₹1500 & Appam cost ₹150.+ GST4.Service – Another drawback- Super slow service.5.Ambience- Excellent.If you really want to spend money on food please opt for buffet at Hayat or Taj Malabar.You will be happy for the spread.Visit this restaurant if you have lots of money & can spend for average food,low quantity,slow service,heavy price.Simply spend money for ambience.Rated 2 only for the Ambience.
A quant place adjacent to the harbour. Excellent setting for a romantic dinner, especially in the evening. The seafood was ideally cooked and spiced. The entry and access to the restaurant is a bit difficult and tricky. Better to park your vehicle and walk the last 1km.
5 star for the ambience. The restaurant has sea facing seating. Had been here was dinner and indeed it was an amazing evening. The food is also very relishing. Had ordered chicked and mushroom skewers, mattanchery chicken curry, kerela paratha, ice tea and a mocktail.
Overrated place. Food was costlier than the five star restaurant we visited the next day. Average food. Mosquitoes. Not recommended. Fort house along the way is a better option
Xanderi Harbour is a beautiful place to dine in with an amazing Sea view. And the food was really good. We ordered mattancherry spiced chicken with dosa, prawn moilee with rice, masala flavored fish of the day and creme brulee. The food was over priced compared to it’s quantity.Food-4/5Service-4/5Ambience-5/5
Truly a hidden gem! The entrance does not do justice to what lies beyond. Treat yourself to the sea view of Kochi and brilliant food and hospitality! We ordered mocktails, lasagna and mushroom starters and were treated with complimentary starter that was full of flavours! Definitely, worth a visit!! 🙂
