ആ the first alphabet in Malayalam language. It’s the sound our mom made before feeding us as a child, remember ‘Aah’? Also if you are completely satisfied with a good food or a drink, what do you say? ‘Aah’ !!!So many wonderful thoughts have gone into this single word, the name of the restaurant! Simple, elegant and just wow! The restaurant is curated masterpiece where art and heritage take over. The shallow but brightly lit corridors take you to a beautiful hall with pale yellow shades. It opens up to a beautiful space, filled with lush greenery and cozy corners. The walls are painted in bright realistic art by @artistkgbabu and they are just wonderful. We ordered Ammama’s Nutmeg Juice or ജാതിക്ക ജ്യൂസ്, juice extracted from the nutmeg fruit topped with crushed ice and sparkling water. It’s a house hold welcome drink in most rural homes in high range areas where nutmeg is grown in plenty. Nutmeg is blended thereby creating a fresh, green, tangy taste and white colour juice or boiled resulting in a much sweeter and brown juice to make this iced nutmeg juice.Next on the menu was Green Mango Slush, a frozen green mango juice infused with mango ginger and green chilli. The rim of the glass is dipped in red chilli and with each sip you taken in juice and chilli powder. Remember the പച്ച മാങ്ങാ and മുളക് combination? It’s exactly that!The food menu is still to be tried, I’ll definitely get into it super soon.For some reminiscent memories of home and childhood, this is the place. A very well designed restaurant within an art gallery and boutique hotel. From the outside no one would’ve guessed there is such a beautiful space inside. There are outdoor as well as indoor seating. We only had a raw mango based drink which blew our mind. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The place has a quite and calm ambience with art work all around. As of now the restaurant isn’t fully functional and has a limited menu with a few drinks and snacks.
