My all time favourite biriyani in mattancherry, honestly not worth eating there, I always take a parcel and eat it in the comfort of my own home, as the divine taste of the biriyani with its succulent pieces of meat does not match with the visuals. Even though it is close to a restaurant really famous for biriyani, they have still outdone themselves and gotten on top. And rightfully i must say. The beef biriyani (theyve used veal every time ive been there) is what I always order there, the mutton biriyani is pretty decent too. A must visit place for all biriyani lovers.
Biriyani is better than kayees. Rate is also reasonable. Beef mutton and chicken. It’s near to kayees and I think kayees is overrated. Try this it’s better
One of the best biriyani shop in Kochi. It’s located right next to Kayees biriyani shop. The long rice and perfectly cooked chicken does the trick. Ambience wise it’s poor and the shop can accommodate hardly 10-15 people. Best for take away. Also parking for four wheeler would be a real trouble.
Just come in blank and you will enjoy authentic briyani in Malabar Style. You cannot expect spicy, as they use Pineapple, Raisins, Cashews and its similar to Dum Briyani with well cooked meats.. You can taste the other side of briyani here. They can serve immediately once you spotted your seat. Try this !!

Amazing beef biriyani in a not so nice place. Beef was tender and juicy, no fat, just meat, very cheap for the quality they have. Rice was cooked to perfection and their salad and chutney were great. The down side is the place is small and hot, but you can take to your home and enjoy – it won’t be that hot though. I will surely go back for more.
