Basic tomato soup is a mess . Doesn’t looks or taste like a tomato soup . Now we don’t know what are we eating here . The authenticity is not there in the food they prepare. Over all food is average . And yes it’s not value for money if you are looking for .
Much like the previous outing in Kochi, we were clueless about where to have lunch. We got into a cab. The cabbie recommend this place for Kerala special food.This restaurant too happened to be located in a hotel. It was absolutely empty when we entered. I ordered a seafood soup and King Fish Curry with plain boiled rice. There were few veg options, so my friend ordered an American Chopsuey topped with egg. They do veg and chicken versions of the Chopsuey as well.The seafood soup was very ok on taste. The good thing was that they had put in a lot of meat bits.The Chopsuey was as it should be – crunchy, soggy, sweet and salty at the same time.I wanted to have some dessert, but I was full by end of it.The meal proved a bit too much. Terrible service. The food is average. The food is overpriced for what they offer. I used to love visiting this place since it was really close to where I stay. The buffet was my favourite. I recently visited the place after a long while, the service was just terrible. The staff doesn’t get your order properly, they miss out something or the other ..and when you confront them , they are so stubborn and say that they brought all the we ordered and there was nothing more. And food take forever to come. Not visiting this place again, or suggesting it to anyone. Do head to Fortkochi instead, you’ll have much better options there!
A neat and a classy restaurant in Mattancherry. Its nearby the Dutch palace. You must try the fish over here. The biriyani is typical Kerala style.
