The Trident is one of the nicest Hotels in Kochi/Ernakulum and has been underrated for sometime. Although located on Willingdon Island it does not have the view and location of the Taj Malabar,but it certainly excels in great service and food. There is a certain cosiness about the place and have had some great cusine here.The ambience is warm and personal and you can have a very relaxed evening with some good food. The view of the pool and swaying palms is soothing. Although billed as a cafe,you can get short eats and mini meals here. The snacks,of sandwiches,burgers,some seafood aswell as super cakes and pastry are all of high quality and the coffee(kaapi) is aromatic and if you like it STRONG aswell.A good place to relax after a good days sightseeing or Business meet. You can carry on from here to the bar,or the main dining or relax by the pool with a tall cool drink. Try it,am sure youll like the place.
The most striking thing about The Patio is it’s ambience.. it is breathtakingly beautiful.. with high cielings, widespread seating, overlooking the pool from behind a kind of French glass windows.. the ambience beckons you to soak it in.. the service as with the rest of Trident – outstanding! had grilled sandwiches and fries.. peach iced tea to sip it with.. the sandwiches were approvingly juicy (the right amount). well flavoured and the fries the correct degree of crispiness; on a rainy afternoon, this is an unbeatable combination!! The damage – worth the 1100/- for two. Definitely will be back for more!
