I feel this is one of those restaurants where the food and the ambience should be considered together to gauge the experience. When it comes to the ambience and service, it is excellent. Right from a building steeped in history to the various collectibles at the museum there, and to the water front deck. The service from the staff is excellent too.The menu was interesting and had some unique entrants in there. From what I ordered, the food was good having its characteristic taste to differentiate it. The portions were large enough and therefore it was value for money considering everything we got there. A great place to dine, absorbing a piece of Kochi history while at it 🙂

The tables are actually on the deck.The owner himself conversed with us and seemed very friendly.The view from your table is unparalleled.The small collection of antiques only the icing on the cake.The name of the place is actually ‘The Waterfront Granary’.
A place that totally deserves your attention. Getting there: You could get there by following the maps on zomato (Bazaar road Mattanchery) or take this very interesting alternative. For 1500 Rs (for upto 25 people) they will pick and drop from marine drive on their own boat! the restaurant is literally a deck and you can hop off the boat straight to your table. Ambiance : Perfect! They set candle lit (read LED) tables for you on the deck and you actually sit over the water with fabulous views of the Vivanta Taj Malabar across the water and port. Food: The Place is trying to introduce Kutchi Memon cusine of the Kutch Gujrat coast. They are also multi cuisine. Ordered a Cheese stuffed mushroom(Very good) and Pepper quid (average) for starters. A Lemon buttery grilled fish (Portion of fish served with veggies, Rice and butter sauce – Very good!), Ra Ra gosh (Mutton curry – Good) with flaky wheat parathas (Very good). Also had to try something authentically Kutchi, so ordered an Akkeni a type of beef biryani with little masalas but more spices(Very good).The portions were huge, so needed to order a ginger lemon tea to settle. Service: Very hospitable and fine dine service. They set the table exclusively for you on the deck. 5/5 service.Value for money:For the ambiance and service on offer, the place is very moderately priced and very reasonable. Comparable to or cheaper than many cafes in the city. Would I go back? Absolutely. The food may not be the best you ever had, but the good food+excellent views+fine dine service+reasonable pricing is a strong reason to go back for the experience.
One of the best kochi has to offer the best view with the best food and unique authentic cutchi dishes never before anywhere else like muttiya, akeni, Panjo koftha, paya and list goes on and the best of best is you get to see a museum for free the food isn’t expensive portions are huge will think of going back again and again
