The ‘Chai Pakoda’ chalkboard kept reminding me to have some from the moment I stepped into the hotel, but since all prospects of stepping outside were washed away due to the rains, I decided to stay in and give it a try. I ordered a cappuccino and chicken pakoda, and tried the different seating options available till I got a comfortable spot. Twenty minutes later I actually had a doubt if I’d given the order, or maybe the staff forgot. I was about to abandon post when the pakoda finally arrives.I must say I’m disappointed. The cappuccino was a little too strong for me, but I’m glad the cup was only half full. The pakoda also failed to impress, being a little too salty. This was one wait that just wasn’t worth it, and I’d rather take my chances outside next time.
