Simple yet a rich kerala cusine restaurant. The food is unbelievably good in a very consistent way. We had appam, puttu and Beef curry. I can say that these are much more tastier than it looks in the photo plus a pocket friendly restaurant. Alakapuri is part of history in kakkanad with the restaurant being atleast 50 years old.

Very crowded and one would easily believe that it’s a popular restro across the locals. Went there after my friend having praised their Roasted Beef like anything.We ordered Puttu, Porotta, Vatta fish curry and the Roasted Beef curry. Except the Roasted Beef, which this restaurant had much praises for, we liked everything else. Beef curry were mostly contributed by non meaty parts which actually I don’t like at all.Porotta and Puttu tasted nice. The Vatta Fish curry was good but not something which is a must have.Giving it 3 stars only for the disastrous Roasted Beef – because it impacted my overall experience. Perhaps it was not their day. Will go again in days to come and update the stars given.
