During our vaccation to kerala we had breakfast and dinner buffet at kochi kitchen. And, food here is the best we had in kerala. All local food items are too good. Love their live pasta station, Yumm salads, super good freshly made pita bread, good desserts. Breakfast buffet spread was elaborated. Everything was yumm. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Good food but the breads don’t taste so food. Ambience is fine but overall kisses out in premium feel. Feels like you are in a luxury hotel canteen. Would prefer the airport marriot in terms of ambience.
Went for the lunch buffet, but had an underwhelming experience. At a buffet, you need someone to guide you to the spread so that you don’t miss out. There were more people behind the counter, but very few to guide. I don’t know if it was because of the holiday, but service staff seemed less in number. The arrangement of the dishes also caused confusion as they were not placed in order. The soups were placed on one side, starters far away on the other side next to the main course. Some south Indian dishes like sambar and achinga mezhukkupuatti were placed next to North Indian dishes like dal fry and paneer and then after a few dishes, encountered Kerala Rice and South Indian dishes again. Options for vegetarians were limited and not up to the mark. The dal soup was pretty good, but the salads were too cold on a cold day. The pasta offered was okay, but the Chinese dishes were average at best.Dessert section was the best part, but dessert spoons were not available. Some of the staff were helpful but the general air was one of indifference. Had expected a lot more in terms of spread, taste and hospitality from such a reputed restaurant, but it was pretty disappointing.
I visited this place during Ramadan for the Ramadan buffet. It had kept well high standards when it comes to food, there was a wide variety of food starting from Arabic, Indian, continental and what not. Basically anything and everything you wanted to have for breaking a fast during Ramadan. Well set in a peaceful ambience. Though desserts weren’t upto the mark the starters and main course were amazing!Would definitely visit again for a different kind of buffet soon.
Their buffets are a must try. A wide variety and most of the days, the main course cuisine focuses on either Kerala or Indian fusion. They also provide different types of bread, on request, baked especially for you. Their desserts are to die for, and their chocolate cakes are a must try!
The lunch buffet was underwhelming. I think I missed the starters. The arrangement of food can be improved. All dishes were OK.Overall the experience was not mouth watering.
