One of the best Chinese in Cochin. Visited with entire family for dinner. They had a very impressive variety of dishes right from soups, starters till desserts. All the dishes which we ordered were tasty and made fresh. Service was excellent and the ambience was perfect. Will surely visit next time when in Cochin.

The ambiance here is good and the food was delicious as well. The pooping platter for kids is an awesome combo even for adults. Looking forward to visit it again.

I’ve been dining at black pearl for about ten years now and its one of my all time chinese favourite in kochi! They have never disappointed me even once and have always come up with wonderful dishes and recipes everytime I visit here. And if I may suggest, some of the best dishes are dragon squid/chicken and their chiken lolipops as well. Even their rice and noodles items are really good. And yeah their service is also really good. The prices are very reasonable as well. Its a must visit for all chinese food lovers in cochin.

This place has 3 restaurants- a bar, a buffet/indian place and a chinese restaurant. You get served alcohol in all the 3 places. Since i was pretty much jobless i decided to try all the 3 places out. In the chinese restaurant, ordered a prawn and chicken starter and both were really good. The service was really good and waiter was really helpful. Then in the Indian restaurant i tried their porota and beef-it was amazing in terms of both quality & quantity. Service was also good. Then came the bar- the place could do with some good music as they were playing tv when i was there. I was a little disappointed with the service as the waiter misquoted price of alcohol for one of my drinks. Its a lil too dark for my liking. With no music and no lights it can appear slightly shady. Overall i had a good experience here and will be coming back for more during the remainder of my vacation

This restaurant seems to be operating in the 90s when your order took 30-45 mins to come to the table. Tawdry service, average food. We went one afternoon, hungry, and with a toddler in tow. Ordered chicken momos, dragon chicken and fried rice, with grilled pomfret for the toddler. The server said it would take at least 15-20 mins for the first item to reach our table, and THIRTY MINUTES for the fish as it had to be cut n cleaned n grilled. We got over our shock and asked for the dishes to be brought as soon as they were ready, course notwithstanding, since we were all ravenous. The momos were flat with insipid filling and leathery outer cover. Dragon chicken and fried rice were alright. Nothing to write home about. By then it was almost an hour since we came and when we asked for the fish, the server drew a blank. Said he thought we had cancelled the dish since it was mentioned it would take time. Wow! This is the heights of inefficiency. Where do you go from here? I somehow maintained my calm thanks to the presence of my parents. We finished the rest of our meal quickly and got the hell out. In case you are wondering, we fed our toddler the complimentary prawn crackers they put on the table, and asked for a portion of Kerala pappadum once we realised time is only an illusion at this restaurant.

I was here a few years back. I could see that the ambience remains the same. The Chinese food we ordered a prawn curry was tasty but very spicy. The noodles was okay. But my general opinion was though the food was okay it was tad too spicy for me. The service was with a smile. OverallI Lwould rate the ambience and taste as average. Service as good
