The food is good but now the quality of service is detoriating. Some of the Bengali waiters are very rude and arrogant. If good service is your priority better avoid this place. Otherwise it is a good veg restaurant and the only lacuna is service to customersMy report cardTaste 8/10Ambience 6/10Service 3/10Value for money 5.5/10

I have been there once and ordered a chicken biriyani for takeaway but they took too long to get it done so had to opt for some porotta and beef roast. The food tasted average. They have good seating arrangements.

Heard from a few friends about this old charm and wanted to try out the place. So after a visit to the Koonan Kurish church, had dinner of ghee roast and a cup of tea. The place was clean, and orders were being attended fast. It’s a no-frills place and very reasonable. Upon request, second round of chutney was fulfilled. Two ghee roast and two cup of tea cost us Rs. 86/-.P.s. Don’t expect high level of cleanliness or ambience or cheerful waiters.

Really nice dosa. I had masala dosa 2 days in a row for lunch it was so good. Be prepared for an authentic experience not tailored to tourist but instead a local hot spot. Means you have to eat with your hands. Flavors on point/prices very reasonable, 40 rupees for the masala dosa. Highly recommended of you want to try a cheap delicious meal. Be warned its usually busy but you can just sit down whereever there is space.

Visited this place last week. This is 70 year old restaurant. Looks like it lost its charm now. You surely will get worried about hygiene of this place. We tried Ghee Dosa, Poori Masala and Masala Dosa. It all tasted good except Masala. Sambar was really nice. Please don’t expect a smile or a grin from anyone there. They all have a natural poker face.

Visited Krishna cafe earlier this afternoon. Three decades back this used to be the only restaurant reasonably good. However visiting this during the present time was kind of disappointing. The meals that was served was cold. Returned and orders dosas which again was way below average taste. The dosas were not roasted and it carried feel and smell of the raw batter. The only good thing about this hotel is honesty of the server folks. They seem to know they were serving bad taste and kind of acknowledged.
