It was our last day in Bhopal and we happened to be shopping around the New Market area when we stumbled upon this lovely gem of a place called Gaagar. The fact that the family has a sweet tooth (especially when it comes to Bengali sweets and dairy stuff) made it an obvious reason to step inside to check out the place.Since there was still some time for lunch, we decided to just taste their interesting products. What started with just 1-2 things, turned into almost a dozen (shared between the 5 of us of course!!).We had their sweet curd, badam lassi, a few Bengali sweets among other things and each one being simply more delicious than the other. Later I also did happen to see a signboard inside which mentioned that they had won awards for their Kaju katli for being one of the best in Bhopal, but unfortunately we missed out on trying that. Some other time hopefully.Other than sweets, the also have a range of other stuff like dry fruits and mukhwas which is also good and displayed well. The store is not too huge but just perfect for people to move around, choose the stuff they want and if they’re like us, gobble down the stuff there itself!!Gaagar is a must for all those in Bhopal who love the sweet stuff!
Very fresh ever
They are delicious. Dipped in pure ghee the sweets offer magnificient taste with numerous new varieties. They also excel in their diary products especially paneer. Although i miss their chat corner which they had started and winded up .
Fantastic Sweets. Known for their quality. Variety of sweets from modak to sandesh. curd is also of very good quality. they also supply their own milk packets. Try sweets at the counter those are for free in whatever quantity u want. 😉 Nice place.
