I would not prefer this place on a regular basis as the hygiene level is way below the threshold, please don’t have their sambar. I was bedridden for a week and all thanks to their sambar. Taste is mediocre, so choose this place only if you do not have any other option.
One of the bussiest thali food lunch home at the bussiest road.They serve nice roti sabzi thalis for regular visitors which are as good as ghar ka khana,which are very economical.From snacks to drinks the place offers quite variety of food.
Alankar is a pocket friendly Udupi restaurant in Fort, bang opposite the SBI Head Office.They offer the usual laundry list of dishes that any Udupi restaurant offers but they also offer good quality & taste as well.They have a good footfalls all through the day.

They serve every dish in such a good way. Presentability is really good. They constantly ask you if you want anything else. The staff is allocated for each job and its not like anyone does anything. You have a separate guy for menu, for water, for cleaning, and for serving. Prices are lower than other restaurants in the locality and the ambience is far better than others. You get dingy restaurants with higher prices in the locality. But this is a saviour!Highly recommend to anyone going to Fort area and in specific Dalal Street
For a quick breakfast I went there as it was right below my office. I didnt have much time,so I just had the bread and butter from there. The bread was toasted and fully buttered. I could really get the crunching,which was the best part. I would definitely try more stuffs from here,when I get time. One suggestion is that they should give butter separately so that people can apply it. It would be really good.
This is my go to place for a quick lunch. Service is very quick. They are famous for their affordable thalis. Prices are minimum with a good quality of food. Their south indian items are also delicious. My personal favourite is the rava masala Dosa.
Hello all, like you all I was in impression that Alankar is one of the good restaurant in mumbai but I was wrong. Today I ordrered Veg pulav as u all can see in pic, what I was served actually to eat. The intesion behind uploading the pic is to make you aware about this case. Pl. don’t eat food here any more.
