This is a very famous place for Parsi cuisine in Fort, the heart of Mumbai. But I think its exclusivity is the only thing that fetches it points (they have quite a unique selection of dishes).I tried the Kheema Pav; it’s decent, but nothing too delicious or unique. (3/5)Same with the caramel custard. It had a lovely consistency, and the taste, albeit not too rich, was good (3.5/5)The cheese sandwich was just plain white bread with cheese slices. Clearly not the place with the best value. So like I said, nothing innovative or interesting.I think the purpose of visiting this place is not outstanding food, but a unique experience. It’s an old restaurant which has been running for a long time, with select bestselling dishes which are loved by regulars. Worth checking out once, but don’t expect food that will blow your mind.(Also, the menu prices and the prices they put on the bill are different, meaning they haven’t updated their menu cards yet)

A classic South Mumbai restaurant serving Parsi food. The place has the typical vibe of these old timer places – simple decor, tables placed close to each other and one page menus. We tried the Mutton salli botti & chicken keema with couple of plates of pav. The day’s special Irani pulao was unfortunately out of stock by the time we reached. Both the dishes were tasty but wouldn’t call it the best I’ve had till date. Ofcourse we had the raspberry soda to go with our meal & a caramel custard to finish off. The caramel custard was ok.. it was clearly those packaged ones & not freshly made at the cafe. Overall it was a filling, decent meal within a reasonable price range.

I thought I was going to one of THE icons of Parsi cuisine in the city. Turned out to be a damp squib. The Caramel custard was decent, but nothing to go ga-ga over. I’ve had better, and worse. The mutton cutlet was reheated. That I expected, given the short time it took to reach my table. In addition to being unhygienic (because it had already been prepared and kept), it wasn’t reheated properly! I had to send it back to be reheated. The Salli Boti had a few pieces of boneless mutton, but the gravy was plain, and the pieces were adequately cooked. There was nothing memorable about the entire experience.

This cafe is very hygienic and it is for family friends and couples .The food which you get has a traditional Irani taste and spices added are quite different. Mutton is best served in this place Ambience is super , staff behaviour is wonderful and I guess this is one of the best Iranian cafe we have in Mumbai. Portion compared to price is small so they can improve it Overall it’s a must visit for people visiting fort or Colaba area.

The kheema pao here can never go wrong.Mumbai will never be complete without presence of these classic Irani cafés.The kheema fry and the classic kheema pao are the star attraction.Basic interiors and just simple comfortable seating.Probably the only irani cafe serving beer.Food will be on your table within no time.Quick service and only essential dishes on the menus makes it a perfect breakfast place. What I ordered- kheema pao and Tea.
