A hidden gem for non-veg lovers! Nestled right across the street in the secluded region of Fort is this little place (little because the 1st floor was closed when we visited). They have one of the widest menus in terms of non-veg. The food is amazing, the service is great as well. Just the seating seemed a lil crowded and too close to other tables. Other than that, a must visit!Must must mustt try: Baked Garlic Prawns

Mocambo café is situated in a bylane at Fort. The restaurant has an old school aesthesis to it. The staff is cordial. We ordered a Paprika chicken, a Yorkshire Chicken lasagne and a fish and chips platter. The paprika chicken was a unique dish, prepared with different herbs. They offer a variety of lasagnes with the Yorkshire chicken lasagne being the simplest and tasteful. I had the best Tiramisu in town at this place and for a fair price. If you find yourself wandering in the inner lanes at Fort, don’t hesitate to try out Mocambo cafe.

Mocambo cafe is almost a South Mumbai institution. Had been here on a Friday night for some good wholesome food. We ordered the Cracker Jack prawns, Chinese Fries, Penne pasta in Alfredo sauce and Chicken Cordon bleu. The prawns are crumbed with Cheeselings and deepfried giving them a crunchy exterior. The Chinese fries were the favourite of the night. Perfectly crispy fried tossed in Garlic, chilly and spring onion. The Cordon Bleu lookd super impressive and tasted equally exquisite. The batter was still crispy after it was slathered in BBQ sauce. The only scope for improvement lies in their drinks. We had ordered a white wine based cocktail and a cold coffee. Cold coffee was very mediocre and the cocktail was unremarkable. Will keep visiting this institution though for its food quality and wholesomeness.
