One of the oldest parsi cafe in Mumbai established in 1913. The ambiance and photos will take you back in time. My order was bun maska, Kari and Tea – liked it.
This place surely must be visited for tea with bun maska, mawa cakes, sponge cake and much more. Recently tried the brownie slices which was fresh and pocket friendly too (Rs.23 per piece). The half Kg vanilla egg sponge cake I usually prefer when ever I pass by this place. The chicken cutlets and puffs are also worth trying. The ambience gives you the perfect parsi cafe feel. Would recommend this place to have breakfast.
The Bombay Junkets visited Sassanian on the occasion of Navroz to delve on some amazing Parsi delicacy. We tried Pallonji, Veg Dhansak with Brown Rice, Cherry Custard and Black Forest pastry. The Veg Dhansak had an amazing aroma and taste. The rice was beautifully flavoured with clove and cinnamon. – 4/5The Custard had a great vanilla flavour and looked beautiful too. – 4/5.The Black Forest pastry had the perfect sweetness but could have been a little more softer. – 3/5This place is perfect for a nice and affordable Parsi meal, serving it’s customers for more than 100 years. Our takeaway consisted of Mawa Cake and Chocolate Ball.Food – 4/5Ambience – 3/5Music – 4/5Service – 4/5Value for money – 4/5Overall – 4/5
Liked this place alot. Went there on an evening and found the food to be good. It’s always a pleasure to dine at an Iranian eatery.I ordered their Dhansak, which was tasty but wasn’t heated up. I wonder why.The classic combination of tea and bun maska was as always, correct!I loved their lemon cheese cake. Totally recommend it.The lagan-nu-custard was average.
