The only thing that this place missed was seating. A perfect hole in the wall, one of those places which muggles without a keen eye for food would miss out on.The fare is sold out within half a day. The place is manned by a old prune-faced man. The menu is very simple. You can pick your chicken sandwiches, patties, rolls, custard among other Parsi fare from here. Hats off to the person who makes all the items. The fare is tasty, and always fresh.I’ve made it a point to walk down a kilometre from my office every day to grab a sandwich from here. It will be sad to see this gem shut down.

This is little outlet, more like a food counter with no tables to sit.. You have to stand and eat on the pavement but the food is fresh and tasty. The place is besides Rhythm House but if you are a brisk walker, you may just pass it without noticing it. The place is managed by a single person and he gets limited quantities of patties, sandwiches, burgers, cutlets and cakes. The food is total value for money and a great option if you are at Fort and don’t have time to sit and eat at a restaurant. Over many years I have tried almost everything and I quite like the Russian Salad Sandwich, Mutton Burger, Chicken Cutlets and Mawa Cakes.

Wayside definitely has its name taken literally. It’s a tiny, truly compact stall right between Rhythm House and the door that leads to Silk Route/Cerveza. It’s tough to say whether this place has nicer food, prices, or service. Staffed by a solo, slightly surly uncle, I’ve had chicken sandwiches here, as well as cutlets of both, chicken and mutton kinds. Virtually everything I’ve had here is foolproof in terms of taste and quality. It feels great to eat in this part of old Bombay, in the shadow of enormous trees, gazing at some nice architecture as you chew on a nutritious, filling sandwich at prices that belong inside a gymkhana.
