Recently visited Pune and wanted to try some authentic Marathi Food/Thali. Did inquiry in my personal contacts and came to know about this place famous for Maharashtrian Thalis. Gayatri restaurant from outside looks really amazine but when you enter it doesn’t looks as good. They serve unlimited Veg and Non food thalis. Ambiance was not that great, service was ok and food was not that great either when it comes to taste.
This place is really worth visiting for Maharashtrian Chicken Thali. Prices are reasonable and food is really good in taste. I ordered Chicken Sukka Thali.To everybody’s surprise Service was to good. VALUE FOR MONEY.

I have never reviewed any restaurant before on Zomato. But am reviewing Gayatri hotel because I am utterly disappointed by the quantity of the dishes.Chicken alani and fry each cost 170/-, and the soup cost 110/-. I have attached the photo to show the quantity I got.However when I contacted the hotel, they did not give any satisfactory response.The hotel is misleading about the quantity in the photos in menu section. Zomato should verify this.
Gayatri is a basic and rustic thali restaurant.They have variety of chicken, eggs and mutton thalis and some veg options a-la-carte.I had chicken sukkha thali which had sukkha chicken, पांढरा रस्सा (White stock), gravy and roti, bhakri and rice.Except chicken, everything else is unlimited. Taste was amazing.Thali was moderately priced at Rs. 250. Service is quick, waiters are always roaming to see what you want.If you don’t mind a rustic ambience, go for Gayatri. It is the best option for budget thali in Aundh.
Very bad experience. I ordered special chicken thali through Zomato. Despite of giving instructions while ordering and calling them several times for increasing the quantity of curry, the quantity of all items including soup, white curry, and chicken pieces was lesser than usual. Also, few items were missing from the thali. The food is okay but these guys don’t take customers that order food seriously. Never ordering or even visiting the place again. Very disappointed.
