Intended Rating – 4.5/5Pan India Eatery is a restaurant in Baner which serves Indian and Indo-Chinese Food. The cuisine basically revolves around giving a pleasant twist to Indian dishes chosen from every nook and corner of the country. I got a chance to visit the place on Sunday as part of PEO Connect.#AmbienceA disclaimer first about the ambience. The place looks different if you visit during the day and completely undergoes a metamorphosis as the sun sets and acquires another kind of look and feel.My visit happened during lunchtime. As you enter you shall see beautiful bird themed wall frames on your right along the staircase which leads upstairs to the kitchen and their store room.Moving ahead you see their Mocktail Bar to your right with glasses beautifully lined above and the bar men in action behind the bar table. One can notice that the base color scheme of the place revolves around mustard color which can be seen in the menu and the seating. The furniture includes comfortable chairs/sofa along with wooden tables. One can’t help but notice the wall paper with doodles along with interesting quotes and trivia. The cooling at the place is on point and at times we had too request to reduce it.But, I am sure this would be a boon during those hot summer days.#ServiceThe staff was on their toes during our visit and left no stone unturned to make us feel comfortable and happy. They catered to all our needs and Devesh, who owns the place was a terrific host who took all our feedbacks, request and suggestions with a smile.#FoodWe started the meal with the following mocktails-Kiwi Delight- It was a kiwi syrup based mocktail along with soda/sprite and lemon on top and red chilly powder on the glass.Berry Mocktail- Not sure of the name, but it contained soda/sprite and a mix of berry syrups (mulberry, strawberry etc.)Kala Khatta- It had kala khatta syrup with pomegranate and soda/sprite.Virgin Mojito- This was our regular virgin mojito. All the mocktails were really nice and the sweetness was balanced.Post this we started with the food.To start with , we had in-house Mix and Lemon Pickle on the tables and to make us feel rich we had generous amount of sliced onion. :P*SOUPS*Mushroom Dhania ka Cappucino – This looked quite appetising and people who tasted it told me that it was delicious.Malvani Kombdi Vade rasse- This was served to us in an interesting manner. First, we received plates which had boiled chicken cubes and polo mint shaped Kombdi vade . Post this , Malvani rassa was poured over in the plate. The rassa was perfect in terms of thickness, amount of oil, coconut and spices. The black pepper in the rassa created that punch for me.The vade were amazing in taste, so were the chicken crumbs.#Highly Recommended*STARTERS*Sarson ke Phool(Broccoli)- I simply love broccoli and mustard sauce. When I got to know about this dish, I was thrilled to bits. Beautiful large sized broccoli marinated with mustard sauce and topped with another creamy sauce. It was flavourful and a delight for our taste buds.#HighlyRecommendedBikaneri Seekh Kebab- It had various vegetables including green peas, cauliflower, capsicum, beans and cashews amongst the ingredients. To avoid the dryness of the kebabs, the chef also used raisins. It was also good in taste and a nice option for vegetarians.Basil Paneer Tikka- These were paneer tikka cubes with a basil marination on it. The paneer was fresh and of good quality, but somehow it could not create the magic for me.Devesh also got us Bhatti ka paneer which was paneer cubes in a spicy marination. Like basil Paneer Tikka, this was also good in taste, but the Wow factor was missing.Galaoti Kebab- Being from Lucknow, I was eagerly waiting for this. As soon as I caught sight of it, I could not contain my emotions and quickly grabbed a kebab and gorged on it and kept feasting on the kebabs until my desire was satiated. The kebab was placed on a tandoori roti. The taste of the kebab was divine and it was quite authentic. My suggestion would be that care should be taken to make the roti as soft as possible. This is because, if it would be hard or crispy, then it will come in the way of the taste of the kebab.I am definitely going to come back for galaoti kebabs.#HighlyRecommendedCrispy Calamari Thecha- This included calamari battered and deep fried in tempura style. But the catch here was that thecha was included in the marination which made the dish spicy. The overall taste was exquisite and I loved it.The calamari was fresh and nicely cooked.#HighlyRecommendedChicken Banjara Kebab- Boneless chicken pieces were put through a savoury marination and then charred to perfection. The kebabs were soft and tender and fantastic in taste. Its just that, in the first serving the salt was more tahn what was required, but that was corrected without prompting in the next serving.#Recommended*MAIN COURSE*The main course included the following-Paneer Khatta Pyaaz- It had paneer cubes in a sour gravy. It was a delectable dish and the constrast of the sour flavour and the flavour brought in by onion was beautiful.#HighlyRecommendedSarson ka Saag with Makke ki Roti/Bajra Roti with Jaggery- The saag was superb and worth every penny. It was thick, consistent and very well cooked. The makke ki roti was also nicely baked. But the star amongst the breads (they also served tandoori roti, naan etc) was the cute small sized bajra roti with jaggery. #KillerStuffOnion butter rice with Dal Makhani- This was an enjoyable combination as the onion butter rice was a revelation and not just another rice dish. Its pairing with Dal makhani which was slightly sour for me left me drooling over it. Perfect comfort food for all seasons and for all times.#MustTryChicken Rara- This had a semi-gravy chicken preparation with chicken pieces topped with keema. It was quite finger licking stuff and the chicken pieces were cooked superbly.#HighlyRecommendedAlleppey Fish Curry(Surmai)- The fish was fresh and yummy. It was prepared properly and the curry had a wonderful concoction of flavours that kept me interested in it all the time.*DESSERTS*Mango Rabdi with Mini Rasgullas- Perfect dessert to tingle your sweet truth. It had rabdi mixed with mango pulp and mini rasgullas. The topping included almonds and pistachio. It was so delicious that I polished it off in no time. #HighlyRecommendedKesar Phirni with Jalebi Pearls- The Phirni was scrumptuous and was not run of the mill stuff you generally get at barbeque speciality restaurants. This was much better in taste. The addition of jalebi pearls and dry fruits further enhanced the flavour.#RecommendedI am definitely going to come back to this place to try their other offerings along with the ones which stole my heart already.

Manchau soup was thick and had good taste of coriander. mashroom dhania capuchino soup was something unique and tasty having foam like cappuccino. Lotus stem chaat was crispy chaat having typical taste of chaat. Paneer basil tikka and dal makhani were bland. watermelon sprout salad was good though. Tomato mozrella naan was the one liked by all of us. Cozy quiet place having nice interior with humourous quotes and pictures on walls. I would love to visit this place again to try non vegetarian dishes.
