I find their timings very odd. The kulfi they serve has diverse flavours (and it’s cut) if you’re looking for something less clichéd. It’s basically a stall rather than an outlet so there are no seating arrangements. The ice creams are reasonably priced. I wouldn’t rate them high on hygiene since that sucks a bit. Go for it if you want to try interesting new flavours of kulfi at a low cost.
Sometimes, you want to walk away from the long queues, table screeches, flashy lime lights and buzz of a crowd. Well, plan a stopping by ‘Tulsi Malai Kulfi’. You get 100 grams for 30 Rupees that you can savour sitting at some random bench nearby. While you garnish your solitude with a delicious Kulfi, do not forget to reminisce about the unforgettable times from childhood. When, a kulfiwala’s ‘ting-ting’ made us jump with joy. And we use to run out to get that 1 Rs Kulfi. I think it is fairly okay to skip the commercialised establishments and run to that ‘ting-ting’ in our minds; when options were less but the joy was unparalleled! Love, Ankit
Food: 4/5Ambiance: Not applicableService: 3.5/5Price: 4/5 (30/- for a plate)Order: NoneHits: NoneMisses: NoneDate of visit: Multiple times in 2015I have been at this place multiple times and its very popular for lot of people. But its easy to miss. Its exactly opposite Jaihind showroom and the cart is on the entrance off the building. They have multiple flavors of ice cream(mango, chikoo, pista, gulkand etc). The uniqueness is the hard ice cream which is given based on weight. For those who havent tried it, its very different from what you get in Amul, Naturals etc and its not similar to what we get at the famours Mohan ice cream at J M Road or Parammount in BanerKothrud. I liked this type of ice cream and easy way to try out all is to get mix of all in single plate. I thinks its 100 gm in one plate at 30/-.FYI – For Baner crowd, the one at signet corner is relative of this guy and the cart is with the same name Tulsi. Identical taste, price etc.
Perfect place fr mid night craving fr sweet..best thing about the kulfiz are that they are not too sugary..n served in leave! Small little colorful cubes! That bring smile on my face,!:)
Yummy malai kulfi for those mid-night sweet cravings!! 🙂 One of the oldest places around! A must-try if you’re a kulfi- lover!! 🙂 Diabetics stay away from this place! 😉
I have been visiting this place since childhood ! And it serves amaziiiiing kulfis ! They have 6/7 flavors i think and all are equally good. But my favourites are malai and chocolate. This place opens by 6 or something and is exactly opposite Jaihind. Decently priced. They parcel the kulfis in some leaves. It becomes a bit messy by the time you reach home. Must visit this place if you want to have amazing kulfis.
With two outlets and a insatiable crowd, this small place had to go on Zomato and that it did. Don’t miss it if creamy and tasty Kulfi is your thing. The gulkand and anjeer are prized options. Both contain real petals/ fruit pieces and that makes it even more amazing. Must try.
