I remember this place from when it was just a home kitchen, putting up little stalls at flea markets and bazaars and it was incredible then and it is incredible even now!The first time I met Sufyan, I tried Kanafeh for the first time. I couldn’t believe what I had eaten. The creamy, sweet dessert just melted in my mouth and I was left in a heavenly trance. (I know I sound whimsical, but what do I say, it was THAT GOOD!)Now, about 3 years later, on hearing about their newest offering, Baklava, I decided to try a box. I received a box of assorted Baklava, comprising of cigar rolls, shabiyat, shamiya(flower) Baklava and asawer (bracelet) baklava. Before you get utterly confused, let me decode these for you. Cigar Rolls – This is the easiest one. They’re the cylindrical shaped variety with stuffing in the centre. The pastry is thin and the filling is generous. Shabiyat – This one is the triangular shaped variant that look a like a classic savory puff. These ones are usually the most flaky. These have a little more pastry than filling. Shamiya (Flower Shape) – This one is the little square box with triangular leaves on the side with a loaded nutty centre. This shape is very well balanced with filling and pastry. It’s got a nice centre to make place for generous filling and leafy sides that allow crisp pastry in every bite. Asawer (Bracelet Shape) – This one is small circle with a thick border of pastry and a centre of nuts. Again, this one has an equal ratio of nuts and pastry but the difference is that the pastry is slightly more dense. It’s less flaky and more crumbly because of the dense layers. Now that the jargon is clear, let’s talk about the flavour. I absolutely loved all the variants made by Sufy’s. The Baklava was fresh, crisp, nutty, fragrant and so so so delicious. It had the mild fragrance of rosewater and the goodness of butter. This box literally vanished overnight. It costs Rs 500 and is worth every rupee. JUST GO BUY IT.

I tried cigar baklava and felt it comparable to the Hakkizade Hafiz Mustafa and Gulluoglu from Istanbul in quality and taste.Cream Kunefe was also great.Go for these amazing sweets available in Mumbai.

Bombay has a serious lack of Baklava options. Knowing this, I decided to try this place as I love Baklava. Ordered a medium box of assorted Baklava (Rs 500). It came with 4 different types of Baklava, but honestly there wasn’t much difference in terms of taste. While the pastry is light and flaky, there could’ve been a better mix of nuts if one was to consider it as an assortment. All of them only had crushed Pistachios-be it inside or as a sprinkling outside. Thankfully one had a sweetened khoya type filling (the largest oval shaped one seen in the picture). So in the end, it felt like I was eating the same thing in different shapes. The triangular one was almost like a sweet version of a khari biscuit with no nuts inside and only a mild powdering of pistachios on top. If you’re seriously craving Baklava and can’t find options, you could consider ordering from here to satiate a craving. The service was excellent, very well coordinated on whatsapp and on call for delivery.

Called for cheese and cream kanafeh along with baklava. The entire family enjoyed the desert. Something pleasantly different from the usual deserts. Came in well packed with easy to follow instructions. Looking forward to calling for it again. Good job.

Their baklava is ohhhh sooo good. Light, flakey, buttery, nutty bites of deliciousness. Yes this might seem like quite a raving review but it just so happens that my newsfeed reminded me of the delicious baklava I had in turkey so I decided to order from Kanafeh points updated menu and I wasn’t disappointed. I’m it a big fan of their kanafeh but their balaclava is amazing!
