One of the best seafood outlets in town serving some really delicious food the service is prompt and the staff is polite and respectful, a wide options in the menu they even have seafood thali, having said so they make the best ghee roast masala may it be crab or prawns the taste is just heavenly. After a long time, it was time for guys day out. Came to Ferry Wharf on a recommendation and man it did not disappoint. The ambience is simple, nice and cozy. It was empty being a weekday and Navratri. The captain and the staff were courteous and helpful. It’s an experience to choose ur sea food before being prepared. We sipped on Sol Kadhi while our food was being prepared. The Crab Butter Garlic was delicious. This was first experience of eating a non deboned crab. We were dressed up with an apron for the feat. Enjoyed the crab. Then came Tandoori Tiger Prawns and they were awesome too. By this time we were already quite full. And then came the show stopper – the Sea Food Bamboo Biryani. Yummy it was. It was one of the few Biryanis which I loved.Overall a lovely experience.P. S. The price is on the higher side. This place is not for people who are on a budget.
I have a suspicion about this place, ill elaborate:Bombil- these bombils are exactly like the ones you get in Gajalee, get thisChutney- this is exactly like what you get in Gajalee, fantasticOyster fry- this was good, and decent quantityGhee roast prawn- fantastic, good sized prawns, just like GajaleeCrab soup- okayish, hardly any crab meatMutton potato chop- massive size and good quantity of muttonCaramel custard- standard stuffPackaging: goodPricing: expensive even with discountMy suspicion? that this place is run by ex-Gajalee staff!!
Ferry Wharf – Seafood ParadiseFew weeks ago I had been to Ferry wharf which is at 10 – 15 mins drive from Bandra Location with my bestie to celebrate my post birthday lunch treat. As we had booked the tables in advance through eazydiner app which offer 10% discount on Food Bill. Quite surprising to see entire place was vacant as if I had booked the entire place for two of us….Slowly and gradually people stepped in but we had our own good time. Ferry wharf menu offers seafood and north Indian cuisines. If you are a seafood lovers then it is one of the best restaurants in Mumbai to catch your fish. Once you go through the menu staff is well acknowledged so they bring a tray of fish which has different types of raw fish. My very first reaction was I want them all….lol Also they bought a live crab which was a bit scary at that moment. We stuck to our plan to only go for seafood no chicken this time.Food:1> Bombil Fry – One of our favourite when it comes to Bombay duck. Four pieces were served along with mustard chutney. She managed to complete two of her within minutes meanwhile I was finishing the first one. They were served hot and fresh. Properly Deep fried in semolina batter.2> Bangda Fry – Well I’m fond of Pomfret but based on her recommendation we went for Bangda this time. There are other cooking options as well (tandoori/hyderabadi/Ghee Roast). It was delish. Full of flavours and tender while chewing.3> Prawns Green Chilly Sauce – Dazzled by the flavour of spices in the sauce. Along with mid-sized prawns were cooked for perfection.4> Tarli Pulimunchi – Well the name sounds a bit confusing to me but if you ask any Manglorean/Konkani Person they will have a smile on their face hearing it. So Tarli here stands for Sardine which has great health benefits. Puli means ‘tamarind/ sour’ and munchi means ‘chilli’ so to sum it up it is a hot and sour fish curry. Went well with Bhakri.Ambience – Ambience is neat and clean with walls painted by sea based theme. Seating is comfortable.Service – Our attendant was quick with suggestions and service.Food – 4.5/5Ambience – 5/5Service – 5/5Thank you Ferry Wharf for a scrumptious afternoon….
Came here on a Sunday late morning to find this place empty. Ordered butter garlic lobster and a chicken bamboo biriyani. The lobster was served in its shell. They’ll bring you a tray of raw fish which you can choose from and the cost will be according to the weight. The losbster dish had some chewy bits to it but other than that tasted really good. The biriyani had really good masala even though the chicken was a bit chewy. The waiters were pro active.. made sure you were served every minute and the plates taken away asap that you were finished even thought we were the only people there.
Great sea food place. Courteous staff and good hygiene maintained. The Bombil fry was good but on the oily side. The gravy’s were excellent. Disappointment was the prawn ghee roast Biryani. It was more like a basic pulao. Overall a good place to have sea food.
An amazing spot for seafood lovers and to tr fresh catches of the day. It’s located opposite the ONGC colony gate in Bandra Reclamation. Very easy to spot and has a very quaint and comfortable seaside resto kind of feel to it. The food is delicious and you can have the fresh catches of the day with your choice of preparation. Do note that some of their preparations can get super spicy, so don’t forget to mention the spice level. Try the crabs, specially in monsoon. The service is very good, attentive and could be more prompt.
