This place should be banned for falsely advertising bengali style food. Their cook has never tasted bengali food for sure let alone knowing how to cook it. I had the misfortune of ordering bengali style chicken biryani from them and by far this was the worst bengali biryani I ever had. Their version of biryani is just mixing some random spices and chilli to rice and giving some half boiled tasteless chicken with it, add a boiled potato and a boiled egg which has gone bad. The food was so pathetic I couldn’t eat it and had to throw out. Please do not visit this place for bengali food.
I was delighted to see a Kolkata restaurant near to my place. I had order ruhi macher jhol and bhat and chicken chap. Macher jhol was no where close to Kolkata style of cooking. The jhol had no taste and the gravy was very thin and the fish was not fresh. Chicken chap was tasted very bad and was extremely sweet in taste. I am not sure about the other dishes but guys please do not order these two items from the menu.
Ordered Kolkata special chicken biryani and fish chop/ cutlet for dinner. Biryani was no at all close to Kolkata biryani. on top of it, biryani was stale and giving a foul smell. Same experience with the fish cutlet. The fish used in cutlet was rotten and smelly. Not at all satisfied with the food quality and preparation. The worst biryani and fish chop I have had till date. Please don’t ruin the legacy of Bengali delicacies.Given an option, I would like to rate the food and my experience as zero.
I ordered chicken mughlai paratha and Bengali chicken biryani, first with the mughlai paratha there were lots of chicken pices plus it was made in pure bengali style, second the biryani was so flavour full and there were ample of chicken pices and egg as well as we get in kolkata #satisfied
Stop ruining the image of Bengali Biryani. I will not waste my time writing a long review. Fellow foodies, please don’t order from here. I had to throw away their biryani and order again elsewhere.
Firstly they need to have an understanding of what actually Biryani is and how it is made. This was the most awful biryani I have tasted in last few years. Chicken was dry, either undercooked or a stale one.Biryani was soggy, thanks to the jhol or gravy they have added to the rice and to my shock the gravy in the biryani had a mustard base, something I have never tasted in my life of 30 years. There was no scent or essence whatsoever. If they continue to sell this crap, I am pretty sure they will have to shut their business soon.
