Gong- Modern Asian Kitchen is a finest restaurant in Pune. We happened to visit this for dinner buffet which is priced for 699/- per person. Let me just tell you, we stepped in and the ambience totally won our heart ♥️. What a spectacular sight! Staff is very particular about their service also they are very prompt with it. We started with-Glass Noodle soup with Asian celery- Nothing comforting than this! The consistency was runny but the falvours of veggies upraised the taste.Ching mai uramakki roll- This was the best. Rice on the outer side and seaweed inside when had with wasabi would blew your mind. I loved itMix Vegetable dumplings with lemon grass- My favorite of course. The stuffing comprised of veggies and the hint of lemon grass elevated the dish overall.Chicken Siu Mai with chilly basil- Chicken dumpling again won my heart. This place is indeed best for dumplings undoubtedly.Stir fried chicken with black beans and chilly dry- This dish was so flavourful. One bite and there is outburst of flavours. It was so rich at taste. Also chicken was cooked to perfection and the presentation of the dish was too good.Wok tossed noodle in Thai style- Another favorite of course. Noodles were cooked in a Thai style with sufficient amount of veggies in it. The taste was very authentic.Chicken in Black pepper sauce- Chicken chunks were cooked in some veggies with black pepper sauce. This sauce was very rich at taste. I loved it.Orange piroskha- One heck of a mocktail. It was just so refreshing. The orange falvour with the hint if lemon, oh my my. A perfect drink to sip on while enjoying your meal.We tried chocolate Pastry and honey noodles with vanilla ice cream. Desserts didn’t really satisfied me. But nevertheless dinner overall left my belly satisfied.Overall it’s a steal deal as you get six course meal in just 699/- You get authentic sushi rolls and dumplings and of course the other dishes. A must visit place indeed!

Asian food is something that I can have any time any day. Gong Modern Asian bar is one of the restaurants in Pune which comes on your mind whenever you think of having Sushi or Asian food. I can vouch blindly for their Sushis. Their ambiance is something you’ll love at first sight, it gets even better at night. It’s close to a replica of Interstellar Movie.Recently they’ve added a Dinner Buffet Menu which is highly VVFM and trust me the things they’re offering in the buffet is something you won’t find anywhere else. They’re giving a six-course menu in just 699/- and it includes Dimsum and Sushis. Great right? It’s a steal deal and you don’t want to miss this opportunity.Coming to the Food part – First Course – Soup – Glass Noodle Soup with Asian Celery – One of the best things to have in winter. Soothing watery consistency soup which had a strong flavor of veggies. Second Course Ching Mai Uramaki Roll – This was the veg sushi and trust me it was better than nonveg one. The best part was that the elements which were used in the Sushi complimented each other perfectly. Ching Mai means the rice is supposed to be outside and the seaweed inside. I loved the combination, it was better than non-veg because it was juicier and had a nice crunchy taste in between every bite. Also the wasabi you get with it is a bit toned down, if you want the actual stronger wasabi you can ask for the same and get the real taste of wasabi which is hard to handle for some people.Third Course Chicken Sui Mai with Chili basil – One of the best things about the dim sum is that the given dips with it are something you find very rarely. The three dips which we had were Thai Chili, Raw Mango papaya one and the last one was black pepper. The Thai chili had a nice smoky flavor whereas the black pepper one was combined with spring onion and the best dip was raw mango and papaya which had a nice tangy yet sweet flavor of raw mango. Coming to the Dimsum, the coating of the dim sum matters the most. It was thin like paper which can barely hold the filling and the filling was perfect. Minced chicken with a nice juicy flavor. What else you can expect?Fourth CourseCrispy Tofu salt and pepper – Never had tofu is such combination but trust me it can easily beat other vegetable combinations for this section. The juicy flavor of tofu complements the crispy coating perfectly which combined with salt and pepper to make it a star dish.Fifth CourseChicken in black pepper sauce – Asian gravy with medium thick consistency was right on point. The black pepper kick was showing in every single bite. The sauce was superb which did the job, chicken or vegetable it doesn’t matter to me.Overall Verdict – For people who think Gong is a bit costlier, the new Dinner Buffet menu is a steal deal guys. Don’t wait just go today and make your dinner memorable. hungernationblog.wordpress.com

Gong is a lovely place located in Balewadi High Street. The ambience is quite calm and serene, honestly liked the lighting and interiors.I loved the decor of this place. The place serves authentic Thai, Asian cuisine and you can taste those great Asian flavors and the freshness of ingredients used.!Thursday Dinner totally sorted here. Moving over to the food, well here is a glimpse of what I tried: We started with their signature cocktails. Both Blooming Tea Spritzer and Thai Vacay were quite unique and taste wise it was something different which I had in recent times. The menu is full of amazing cocktails, but these two as recommended were quite good. So don’t miss their cocktails when you drop by!From the mocktails went ahead with Jade Spring and Peach Blossom. Basically Peach Blossom was a mixture of peach and apple juice and creamy cinnamon.Sought of thick it was , but taste was good. The Glass Noodle soup both in veg and non veg was delicious, light, healthy and comforting. Then from the starters Tempura Prawn Roll and Ching Mai Uramakki Roll had decent amount of delicious fillings.A classic dish is done right!! Another classic dish done beautifully by the chef were the Mixed Vegetable Dumpling with Lemon Grass and Chicken Siu Mai with Chilli Basil. The chicken inside the dim sum itself was quite flavorful and juicy. Then we tried Crispy Tofu Salt and Peppers,it was crispy, delicious tofu seasoned simply with just salt and pepper. The tofu cubes had a soft and silky center. The Stir Fried Chicken with Black Beans & Chilli Dry was a bit salty though. The chicken was properly cooked but could have been better. Moving to the main course, The Vegetable Thai Green Curry with SteamRice was the perfect combo and loved the taste.Sufficient in quantity and tasted pretty good. The Wok Tossed Noodle in Thai Style was decent enough. What l liked most it didn’t need any gravy with it. It tasted delicious on its own. Wasn’t spicy but was Flavorful. The entire meal ended on a sweet note with Orange Zest Darshan withIcecream and Chocolate Pastry. To be honest the chocolate pastry could have been better since the taste was a bit different for both the pastries that was served. So concluding, the staff over here were very courteous and the service was flawless. Overall had a good experience. Happy Eating!Follow @yummydelightsdiary on Instagram

Gong is very true to it’s Chinese name and provides good food as well.Ambiance looks premium along with the kind of cutlery they use. Service is good and staff is polite. Every item they served in buffet was liked by one and all. Their veg and non-veg food is superb. I especially liked their honey chilli fries which is not easy to prepare with balanced sweetness. Noodles was good too as it was thin and how it’s supposed to be.Gong is on higher side of pricing but the kind of flavour they serve makes it worth.

Simply put, restrained but quality menu. We had the Asian vegetables with tofu in a broth (it’s a favorite now), the sushi platter (no- brainer), chilli potatoes and tempura fried chilli prawns (least recommended). The three tier drama of the sushi platter is an interesting touch. The sushi actually is quite decent. The waiting service is very nice, the staff is well informed and pleasant. The ceiling architecture and the general design aesthetic is mind blowing. I especially noticed the intelligently done acoustics and playlist- blocks chatter and allows for easy conversation. A win-win in my books. Bon appetit!
