Got a parcel of spicy chicken tikka shawarma and garlic hummus. While the shawarma was alright, would have preferred if it had a little more hummus, the hummus was quite terrible. It was quite tasteless, didn’t have salt nor lime in it. Hardly had any garlic flavour. Very unlikely will ever order from here again.
This place serves good lebanese food. the chicken hummus salad, one of the most common recipes in lebanese menu, tastes delicious. so does the wraps and shawarmas.
Blah! Nothing nice! Un interesting hummus with un palatable butter chicken – made with tomato sauce and garam masala. Not worth the money or the container!
Firstly, I am a big fan of Maroosh and the lebenese food they serve here. It’s my all time go to restaurant. This is the first time I experienced a bad service from their side. I had ordered veg falafel hummus salad(one of my regulars) via zomato. The delivery took almost one and a half hour and the salad was not at its usual best. The hummus was watery and the cucumbers and lettuce were not fresh. Falafel seemed to be a bit oilier than usual and the Pita bread was not fresh. Overall the salad seemed to have been prepared and kept for a long time before it got delivered (which doesn’t include transit time as I stay just 200m from the restaurant).This review of mine is more of a suggestion than a complaint because I genuinely like the food here and want the quality to get better day by day. Nice place for lunch in Balewadi. Chicken and Mutton dishes are worth trying.Even the wraps are awesome, with Paneer Bhuna Wrap taking the top position.
I wanted to taste the Paneer Shwarma here. About the shwarma, it was not that good. The pickle added a bit different flavour to the dish. Actually the sausages he used and all the ingredients didn’t blend at all. And moreover there were very few tandoor paneer chunks in the Shwarma. The ambience is ok. It is a bit costly. It is a 5 seater place on the ground floor and i think they are planning to increase the capacity upstairs as well. But the taste is what matters! And it was missing. Taste-2/5Ambience-3/5Service-3/5Value for money- 2/5
