Had an amazing time while having dinner at this place. The food served was mouth watering we ordered Thai chicken, Chicken Koyla kebabs and Chicken biryani. However, the biryani was mild in taste but the kebabs covered it all.The service can be made more quick though. Overall it was a great time here.Food – 4.5/5Ambience – 5/5Price – 4.5/5Overal – 4.5/5
This is a fun place to go hang out with friends, great music and good food. We ordered for fried rice and paneer chilli, both were great. They also made us a red velvet cake with an orangish flavour to it, that was interesting too! I didn’t really love the pizza, maybe because of its desi feels but each to its own, so it might work for few. All in all, decent place!
Loved the food and service. Too good if you prefer amazing starters with your booze.
The popcorn potatoes taster good. The food was served hot and the service was proactively responsive. The ambience at night is good with dim lit bulbs. Though we had waiting it was worth the food we were served. Only concern was that they charge gst on the service charge they add., which is actually not a right thing. The mocktails were chilled and refreshing with the food.Ambience:4/5Food:5/5Service:4/5
I have visited this place quite many times and will love to visit it again and again. The ambience is amazing especially in monsoons it is an amazing experience. Along with it, the delicacies are delicious. And the best part is their serving style as it is way different from that of other restaurants. Would love to visit them all over again.
Superb ambience, great service at Balewadi high street is sheer bliss. The locality is perfect and the taste was perfect. Some cocktails were not the most perfect but can’t be too fussy.
I’m so glad to finally find a battalion and battlefield, where the ‘foundry’ is good food! Themed restaurants can be tricky, in general! One gets charged an exorbitant amount just for the ambience and the food is generally not the talking point. The Urban Foundry proves to be quite different from the rest. Having opened up sometime in March 2016, this definitely looks like the place to visit or venture. Call it whatever you want, the ambience, cutlery and the food blend together amazingly well.I selected this place to celebrate my birthday this year and accompanied my mother and one of the best ladies’ in the whole of Pune one can know and get acquainted with. With an armed forces styled high stools, long table and seat arrangements, combined with good music, one gets his/her money’s worth here! Some of the crazy dishes and drinks one can find here and I’ve had the opportunity of digging in are;’The Chemical Locha’ – A super blend of vodka, gin and citric juices served in an oil drip canister, to sip out from. Awesome!’Red Wine Sangria’ (2 Nos.) – Pure red wine, served in large mouthed lotus stem glasses, with diced pieces of apple and pineapple. Tangy, to say the least!’Prawns Cocktail’ – Crunchy pieces of tiger prawns served in a black gruel plate, with julienned onions, iceberg lettuce and thousand island dressing. Top class!’Kerala Steak Dish’ – A southern Indian delight! Minced bacon/pork/mutton with grated coconut, curry leaves and grounded pepper, served in a black gruel dish and eaten with extra toppings of grated coconut! Did you notice the ‘Kathakali’ swag?’Patrani Machchi’ – Influenced from Parsi cuisine and the coastlines of Goa, this dish is a fish eater’s delight. Steamed pieces of pompret fish with a paste of green chillies, wrapped in banana leaves and served fresh in a steam pot. Imagine the delight!’Bacon Vada Pao’ – A dish worth highlighting! A replica of the famous Mumbai potata vada pao, which includes fritters in a mini sized Indian bun, yet, here the potatoes are replaced by juicy bacon, stuffed in a patty. The two pieces of the bacon pao are served by inserting them in skewers, on a block of wood along with spicy red and green chutneys, sliced onions and lemon wedges. Can you feel it, already?’Achaari Meatballs with choice of Naan’ – A decent experiment of cheese and minced meat balls in an Indian ‘achaari’, i.e. pickled gravy, topped with extra mozzarella cheese and served with two medium portions of butter ‘naan’, i.e. the Indian wheat bread. Licked it out, completely! With loud burps of satisfaction, this restaurant is definitely headed in the right direction! The menu card can get a tad taxing while reading, considering the generous usage of Devnagri and English scriptures!A place highly recommended for parties and gatherings, it’s time to gear up for the ‘foundry’ that will lead to a gastronomic blast within appetites and leave the urban crowd asking for more!
