Loved the place and ambience, truly Rajasthani culture shown and food was yum, worth every penny. Staff was very kind and supportive and the way they serve is just wow..!!!
Probably the only place in Nagpur that does a near-authentic version of the mighty Rajasthani Thaal. On offer, were -gatte ki sabzi- gram dumplings (gatte) in a delicious, brown gravy. pyaaz paneer – succulent paneer cubes in a rich, tomato-onion based gravy that was mildly tangy from the tomato and had the heartry flavors of burnt onion. kadhi – a thin, mild, buttermilk-ey kadhi to cleanse the palate. The bhindi could’ve been a little less stringy and better cooked, IMO. Roasted Papad was for the taking, too. (Could’ve used an exotic papad like perhaps, wheat or bajra papad to make the meal a little more special). The customary bajre ki roti was served with oodles of ghee, as was the churma, which broke to a coarse powder as soon as you touched it. Not sure what a saubdana vada was doing there but the bite-sized vada mean more even and stronger flavors (instead of the pasty potato filling you get in bigger vadas). To pair with the bland stuff (if there was any) were sweet chhunda and the traditional Ker sangri pickles.Nothing extraordinarily over the top flamboyant, but still a decently filling meal with a healthy amount of variety. There was Gulab Jamun at the very end which was absolutely fantastic – not too sweet, and just about warm.Seating was traditional (baithak) and service was quick, with servers running past you every few minutes to top the plate up.If you’re in Nagpur and in the mood for a Thaali, this place makes for a decent option.I’d rate it at a solid 4. shutternerdblog.wordpress.com
Go there only for the entertainment (Rajasthani dance, puppet dance, palmist), and not for the food. The one star above the minimum rating is for the entertainment. The food is pretty average, one can get better food at almost any dhaba. Overall, it is not worth the 550 Rs per head that is charged
good..had qaulity time with family..enjoyed. food ws homely n ok..variety in thali ws not as expected.found little expensive in comparison with food n the entertainment they are provinding inside..but definatly good place to hang out with friends n family as its peaceful n not noisy like restaurants
