We visited this place for dinner today. We ordered the Nihari and Sukha. It was a little bland. The meat was very well cooked it was soft and tender. The roti was nice and big. I wanted to visit this place from a very long time and was glad I could make it.
The Nihari is excellent, probably the best one would get in Mumbai. The Paaya is too mild and its gravy lacks spices and the punch. But the Nihari is a must have
Went during ramzan,The food was outstanding. The rotis werent that greatI wish he kept bread instead.I had nalli nihari and paya both were extremely tasty,
This is a bit too refined. The sukha tasted a lot like dal. There was no barley which is usually there. The meat was tender. Not a bad place but ot miases the benchmark in authencity by a mile.
Ambience : 5/10Food :5/10Location : 6/10As the name suggests 12 parts of beef and goat are slowly cooked in different vessels to make the meat tender soft and it is served with a special type of roti. It is a very old restaurant and I thought the taste would be awesome as it is one of the popular outlet but I didn’t liked the taste and also there is nothing much to appreciate about the dish . Might be it would be a great experience for others. But personally I didn’t liked it.
12 Handi which has now trimmed down to 9 handi. Slow cooked beef ( buffalo ) served with Khamiri roti. I kid you not the use of Khamir ( yeast ) to make this crispy roti reminds me of a obscure place in Italy where the foacia was just like it. Had a mix of every Handi called Bhel. And I thought noice. Based on some reviews ordered the pichota, and that blew my mind. Amazing food even when they don’t give you kanda nimbu, and the settings are salt of the earth eat your food and go. The roti and tail (pichota) lingers..
Surti 12 Handi certainly lives up and exceeds expectations. The food is super awesome and worth every bite. I have been here twice and it’s been an excellent experience ❤️
