Mutton thali was having one chiken piece. Tambada rassa was not upto the mark.
On a Sunday evening was looking for a place with good food, peaceful ambience and affordable at pocket. And being a vegetarian in a non vegetarian group sometimes your friends need to suffer for you.But luckily not today, as this place gave all that needed. The Tak was freshly made and a slightly salty taste with freshness of corainder literally set the mood perfect and assurance of good dinner ahead.Being a vegetarian I ordered sev bhaji, and my friends settled for chicken thali with indrayani bhat, and bhakri.Thing which i would like to specifically mention was the softness of bhakri. The tambda rassa was good as per my friend whose speciality is non vegetarian food, so I’ll take that from him.So basically one thali, one sev bhaji and additional two roti was sufficient for 3 of us with 5 taak , and all this costed us just 600 bucks.Summarizing, good service, ambience (read away from pollution, though easily accessible), tasty food and not being harsh on pocket would describe this well.Since I forgot to click pictures when food arrived, could manage to click just few.
Decent thali, however nothing great to write home about. Best part about the thali was the appams and kerala parotta served with it. I wish they spice up their food a little bit. As of now it tastes a bit bland. It was absolutely Value for Money. Ambience was chilled out and good to catch up with frinds over some good discussions.
The place is set just behind burans restaurant. We went to try out since its relatively new place. Expectation was that south indian place will have some authentic south indian dishes. The dosa was like any other dosa u get in town. Sambar was average. The chutney was white watery coconuty thing. It wasnt worth being called chutney. The fish was not available. Chicken and prawns were available. But given the experience with dosa we didnt dare to order non veg.So ordered andhra pepper korma and appam. Korma had literally nothing andhra like.I may not visit again
Visited this place to experience some peaceful South Indian cuisine. Ambience is good, but attention to detail could have been better. They have cut corners unneccesarily. We had ordered for neer dosa and stew. Stew was bit more salty to taste. And coffee was served in a plastic cup which was a big turn off. Overall an average rating from me. Have been for better more authentic tasting South Indian restaurants for the price.
The kheema dosa at South exotica a new place where I enjoyed the chutneys the kheema for some reason was not very tasty as though it was frozen and defrosted multiple times. Otherwise it was decent at least dint mess up the stomach
Recently got a chance to visit , Congratulations to owners to have South/Kerala food in Bavdhan .Ambiance is nicely built , clean – Food – We ordered Veg Thali and Dosa ,Veg thali was great and especially Rassam with tangy test, Paratha and Kurma had authentic test. Dosa was okay .. This place is little inside – besides Shinde Petrol Pump.. so may not be easily gets noticed but work visiting
