I am highly disappointed with the food from here. The noodles were half raw. The paneer from the gravy was so hard and tough, very difficult to even pierce through for a bite. The Honey Chilli Chicken was the worst that I have ever had. It was chewy and not at all soft. It was overcooked so much that it became so hard to eat. The only saviour for me was the Kala khatta slush like drink which did taste a lot like the Jeeru soda that you get outside. Not worth a try at all. Dont waste your money.
*Wow! China Review*Located by the bandra shore this little place sure packs a punch with its spicy starters and tangy drinks. It was our turn to find out what made it so special. There isn’t much to talk about when it comes to ambiance, it’s a small place with a humble outdoor seating which overlooks the beautiful carter road promenade, you can enjoy the cool ocean breeze while munching on some authentic Chinese delicacies.Talking about food,We ordered the following appetizers:-Chicken Wrapped PrawnsOne of the most interesting dishes on the menu. Unique and fulfilling, the chicken and prawns combo did a great job in satisfying our carnivorous taste buds. The levels of spice were on the higher side, no complains.Butter Garlic FishThis one turned out to be slightly below expectations, the texture and the garlic flavour was on point, but the fish lacked freshness and buttery flavour was bit low. Over all it was a good option for those who don’t like spicy foodShanghai Chicken Spring RollBeing spice lovers our choice of sauce was schezwan and it was a great choice. The rolls were one of the best we had ever tried. They were filling and sinfully delicious. I definitely recommend trying it out along with the prawns. For mains, we tried the Schezwan fried rice and Beijing noodles with Fish Oyster sauce. The fried rice was rather disappointing and really lacked the punch on gets from a typical schezwan rice, so don’t order it expecting the same flavour. The Beijing noodles were pretty good, although slightly sweet to taste, chicken chunks were generous and cooked well. All it lacked was a serving of mushrooms, but then maybe it’s not part of the original recipe. For drinks we tried the Lemon grass mojito, Green apple and the kala katha. The drinks were served in really cool sippers with eco friendly straws. All of them were great, with the kala kattha being the winner thanks to the originality of the flavour.Over all a good experience, would definitely recommend if you’re in the area and are looking for a quick Chinese meal.Thank You.
WoW China is located on the food lane of Carter’s Road Bandra West and this brand come from WoW Momos. They have one more outlet inside Kurla Pheonix Mall. The restaurant is small in size and they have kept around 4 tables and major space is kept for the billing counter and live kitchen section. They have used bright colours everywhere and they have kept amazing food frames of the dishes that they serve. They also play good music and overall the feel is nice. They specialise in Desi Chinese and they also have some Burmese and Thai dishes available. The menu is nicely made as they have great options for both vegetarians and non vegetarians also they have meal available for single person too. Prices are not too high and the quantity served is amazing as a regular portion of their dishes is perfect for 2 people.I went here for lunch and the kitchen service was on time and Manager Nitesh made sure that the service was smooth and he knew the menu well. What We Had -APPETIZERS~Chilly Cheese Stuffed Mushroom -One of the best tasting mushroom dish that I have tried. Creamy juicy mushrooms with cheese tossed in bell peppers and mild spicy thick sauce tasted great. The mushroom had crunchy coating which just made the dish amazing and the sauce goes really well with cheese.Honey Chilli Chicken -Crunchy and perfectly fried chicken pieces marinated in honey chilli sauce with sesame seeds on the top tasted great. I loved the flavours as it was not too sweet as it had nice hint of hotness from the chillies.Wok Tossed Shanghai Chicken Spring Rolls in Hot Garlic Sauce -Tried spring rolls in sauce combination for the first time and found it decent. The spring roll was generously filled with noodles, veggies and chicken and the hot garlic sauce had nice amount of garlic and didn’t had strong flavours however the outer layering of the roll got hard and chewy. So minor improvements needed.MAINS~Veggie Rice in Burma Sauce -Veg fried rice topped with caramelized onions and roasted peanuts with base coconut milk sauce tasted good. I loved the lightness in the dish as the veggies and rice didn’t had too much flavours of coconut in it hence liked eating this.DESSERTS~Molten Chocolate Spring Rolls -Brownie with chocolate wrapped in a roll, deep fried, not too oily and then topped with chocolate sauce and shaved chocolate. I loved everything in this. The chocolate brownie tasted really good and the chocolate was smooth plus the crunchy outer layering was perfect.BEVERAGES~Green Apple Mojito -Green apple syrup with soda tasted good as it had perfect amount of syrup used.Kala Khatta -Very close to the actual kala khatta which you get everywhere. The chat masala and the overall taste was good.Lemon Grass Mojito -Tasted similar to virgin mojito as very less taste of lemongrass was in it but overall tasted good and refreshing. So the meal at WoW China was good as the food tasted nice, the quantity served was amazing and the service was on time. Therefore a visit here is recommended.
I am a lover of Asian cuisine. I recently visited to wow! China two months old outlet off Carter road which is known for its food hubThis is a small cute outlet which has seating indoor as well as outdoorThe interiors are admirable in red and black colourThe staff is helpful for suggesting right item from the menu as per our tasteThe peculiar thing about this place is that the food is prepared live in front of us even their tagline says it’s live Chinese it gives you an authentic taste of street Chinese foodThe hygiene is well maintained inside the kitchen also food is prepared and served freshWe tried✔️Wok tossed spring roll this was very different and innovative the crispy spring roll topped with hot garlic gravy one has options for gravy to be poured the hot garlic sauce topped was too spicy.✔️Chinese Bhel it was sweet and tangy chatpata types it is light appetizer that one can go with you would enjoy it.✔️We also tried the refreshing Beverages which was prepared well virgin mojito, khala Khatta, green apple.✔️khow suey a is a delicious Burmese noodles dish delicately spiced with coconut milk sauce and served with array of different contrasting toppings which would give ur burst of amazing flavours the curry was well prepared with exotic veggies.✔️Molten chocolate Spring roll it was served hot the spring roll was filled with chocolate and deep fried in golden brown it was also drizzled with chocolate syrup it would make you drool. The good is superb in terms of taste, hygiene and freshnessA place to satisfy your cravings for Street Chinese food.
A newly opened Live Chinese place at Carter’s Road. Small cosy place with both indoor and outdoor seating to satiate your Chinese cravings. It’s noteworthy the mention the hygiene they maintain in their kitchen. We tried the below dishes:1. Chicken Manchow SoupGood in taste but quite watery. Should be more thicker.2. Chicken Wrapped PrawnsTheir House Special which is completely drool-worthy. The fusion is delightful with a sweet n sour tinge to it.3. Chicken WingsBang on the buck. Perfect and not too spicy.4. Pan Fried FishSoft basa fillets marinated and cooked in an amazing sweet n spicy red sauce.5. Chicken Schezwan Fried Rice with Chilli ChickenAmazing combo ! Complete justice done to both. Again their House Special.6. Chicken KhowsueyIf you are a Khowsuey fan, then do not miss out on this. All in all, a lovely outlet delivering some lip-smacking Live Chinese food. Truly a WOW experience !They deliver through Zomato and other delivery apps.
This place is recently opened at Carter road. If you’re a true Asian food lover then this place is for you..Pepper lemon paneer – it was something new and quite good in taste. If you love spicy food then you’ll not love this dish ..Spring rolls in Shanghai Sauce is a must dish here. Authentic spring rolls tossed in their sauce which was very good to taste..Prawns wrapped chicken was also something new but little difficult to eat..Do not forget to order Khao Suey . It’s a must and highly recommended dish. One suggestion- they use many small plastic cups for all teh ingredients which Is a quite waste of plastic. Instead of that they can use proper plate or think of any alternative..Their beverages served in proper bottle which I really liked ..Their desserts were not available so didn’t try any..Overall it was a good place to try .
