South Mumbai is where one can still find some British Colonial Influences. And one such place is Tantra, located at Hughes Road, at one of the busiest corners. You can’t miss this one while passing by. Love the way the logo is designed. Tantra has 2 levels, with the upper deck having more seating. It can accommodate large groups as well. The best part here is you can find delicacies from across the western most part of undivided India to the eastern most part. They have made good additions of famous dishes from across the world and also added oriental dishes. All-in-all a good variety is what one can expect while visiting Tantra. An all vegetarian restaurant catering to the needs of the locality in which it is located.Talking about what all we tried here -We tried the Indian section of the menu only, began with some starters and called for Pav Bhaji Bruschetta, Chilli Cheese Kebab and Aloo Moti Kebab. The first are also available in Jain variants. Aloo Moti Kebab is the signature starter here where cheese balls are shallow fried and tossed with schezwan sauce. It can get a little spicy with schezwan. So is the Chilli Cheese Kebab, with cheese and capsicum blend is grilled. Pav Bhaji Bruschetta is a nice fusion with pav bhaji mixed with cheese served on toasted bread. All the 3 starters were stuffed with cheese due to which we decided to go light on the main course.Along with food, we called for Kesar Thandai and Oreo Shake. Of the two would definitely recommend Kesar Thandai, very refreshing topped with badam flakes. Oreo Shake is nice too, you have options of Kit Kat, Ferrero Rocher besides the regular chocolate shake. Moving to mains, we called for Masala Khichdi, which was Dal Khichdi with vegetables – beans, carrots, chillies, peas. Gets served with Kadhi. Soul food and filling food, gives you the perfect satisfaction. Finally moving to the desserts, we called for Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse. Served in a Chocolate semi dome holder, dark chocolate mousse with hazelnut praline was good however felt the texture of mousse could have been a little light and airy. Taste was good though. A good option for veggie lovers and eaters when in town, you are surely in for a treat.

Beautiful place. Didn’t expect it to be so classy looking. It’s located near Westside store, at NS Patkar marg. Grant road would be the nearest station. The food is absolutely delicious. The prices don’t burn a hole in your pocket. After, Zomato gold, it becomes an amazing deal. Tried Aloo moti kabab. (5/5) Soft potatoes and cheese balls, in Schezwan sauce. Definitely recommend! Reshmi Broccoli (4.5/5) This was great too. Went really well with aloo moti kabab. This with its mellow taste, balanced the tanginess of the other. Some people might find the accompanying salad a bit too strong, because of the mustard, but I liked it. The lemon juice and chutney helped make the salad better, for me. The presentation is also lovely. The hospitality was warm. I was surprised that the place wasn’t full on Saturday, during lunch hours. It definitely is worth visiting. They take a break around 3:30ish. So, try going timely to enjoy lunch there.

Planned year end party here along with my team and we were happy with the food served. They have good variety in starters and menu is quite good. In soups we ordered tamatar shorba, and trust me it was perfect nither too sour nor too sweet. We had ordered Tandoori Idli which came with a spicy chutney and Dahi Kebab were pungent. In mocktails we ordered Anar Mojito and Guava Current and both were great combination of sweetness, citrus and herbaceous drink.Masala bruschetta was another one from all around the world section and it tasted flavorous. We had ordered Dal Baati Churma which was quite okay.In dessert we had Molten Chocolate Tart which was scrumptious and best thing to end the dinner with.

Location: 4/5Ambience: 4/5Service: 4/5Food: 3/5Had been for family dinner here. The drinks are nice and food is just about OK. We ordered badolo lemon and guava current both of which were equally nice. I prefer the guava one though. Just a personal preference. The base of all veg pizza was comparatively thicker but the staff had already informed us of the same before placing the order which was good on their part. The starters were nice and the place is budget friendly. We ordered chilly milly seekh which was average. The paneer chilly with sauce was tasty. We had also ordered manchow and lemon coriander thai soup which were about average as well. The music added to the ambience.

Staff is polite. Had tried corn shorba, cheese corn balls, tangra paneer tikka, veg chilly milly, veg lawabdar, rice & dal fry. Food was good in taste. Had ordered for kulfi falooda which was served very late and did not had much kulfi in it, rose esssence was too strong and shevaiya was more than the kulfi. Service is ok.

Tantra is one of the best Veg Food Restaraunt. If you want to have good vegetarian food with lots of option this is the place you must surely visit. This place is proper Dine-In Restaraunt best for visiting with family. This place has a large option in Indian food from every corner. Some option of continental and Chinese also.✔️Ambience:- As you enter you can see that this place is proper to dine in. They have a big light structure between the outlet. There was sitting on the ground floor as well as on the 1st floor. There is small on the 1st floor. The ambience was simple with simple lighting and yellowish theme..For Ambience 8.5/10✔️Staff & Service:- Staff was good with professional behaviour and good knowledge of food. They suggested some dishes that were really good.Service was also fast. The waiting time was not that much. As you enjoy the dish you will get other dishes as soon as you finish it..For Staff & Service 9/10✔️Food & Drinks:- We had a couple of mocktails, a couple of starters, a couple of main courses and a dessert..Guava Current ( Mocktail ) – Guava Juices mixed with Indian spices. It was spicy but worth try. RECOMMENDED. 5/5.Anaar Mojita ( Mocktail ) – I am sure all have the virgin mojito but imagine with pomegranate. It was good with the pieces of pomegranate in it. The fizz was a little less but overall it was great. 4/5.Multani Mushroom ( Appetizer ) – Mushroom made in Multani style. It was covered with yellow batter and then cooked with the ingredients. It was not spicy but it was good. Must-Try. 4.5/5.Aloo Moti Kebab ( Appetizer ) – The best dish we had here. It was really really good. Aloo filled with cheese and cooked in Manchurian style in schezwan with finely chopped veggies. It was spicy and tickle every bud on the tongue. It is a Must-Try. RECOMMENDED. Please don’t leave without trying this.5/5.Pindi Chole with Locha Naan and Stuffed Kulcha ( Main Course ) – Cholle cooked in traditional Dhaba style with the strong flavour of ginger and spices. It was mildly spicy and it was dry. 4.5/5.Hariyali Paneer Tikka Biryani – Biryani in green colour mild spicy and with a hint of mint. The smell and flavour of biryani were strong that we were not able to resist as we opened the pot. Must-Try. 4.7/5.Falooda ( Dessert ) – Best Falooda I have tried. The layer of kulfi in base with rabdi in between with the fruit pieces on the top and garnished with rose syrup. 5/5.For Food & Drinks 9.7/10✔️Overall Experience:- If you are nearby and want to have the best veg food this is the best place..Overall Rating:- 4.85/5
