Visited this place for the first time, ambience was fine. I tried pink pasta and Gobi paratha. Pink pasta was very tasty and yummy, pasta cooked was perfect and the combination of pink sauce was perfect. Gobi paratha was also good. Must try this place and pocket friendly as well.

Now I came across this place through MAGICPIN, whose vouchers I wanted to redeem, and surpirsingly I found it to be a very casual, yet appealing place. A cafe fit for a nice conversation over some snacks, or a friendly get together too. The big wall completely filled with doodles describing life in Pune is really attractive, and makes you want to take some time, ponder over it and smile. The cafe is in sort of ‘L’ shape, with about 5-6 tables indoors as well, meaning that even thought it gets a bit crowded, you won’t have to wait long thanks to decent amount of space. They have tried their best to make the place look cool and captivating, to which I must say they have mildly succeeded. The doodle wall, a fishtank, a guitar, a wooden template saying ‘Cafe Deccan’ and lots of funky frames and painting gets the mood light and provides a comfortable ambience. The service is about average and could be improved. They need to know who to maintain the subtle balance between the customers present at the restaurant and the online orders pouring through various food ordering apps. The pricing and quality of food was all good, a decent value for money is offered. On my first visit, I tried,CHEESE CHILLY TOAST – Now thats a yummy snack, if you know one. A tasty blend of finely chopped veggies over toasted bread and then topped with cheese, just the way I like it. Mildly cheesy, with the taste of vegetables not hampered, and the crunchy toast as the base. Though it had chilly, it wasn’t spicy, and thank God for that! A recommended dish from their extensive menu.COLD COFFEE – And mind you, this was the thicker version. They also have a normal cold coffee for 10 bucks less. CHOCOLATE SANDWICH – Now I would like to call this like a dessert rather than a snack. Grilled bread with a good amount of chocolate spread in between. I wonder why they gave chips and cabbage shavings on the side? It was too dry, I suggest they give liquid chocolate as a dip on the side.CHEESE SANDWICH TOAST – Now what I was expecting was a hefty sandwich with veggies and of course cheese, but what came to our table was just a plain, mozzarella cheese sandwich. It was not bad, nice, warm and cheesy, but then it got cool and difficult to eat and very bluntly monotonous.GARLIC HALF FRY TOAST – I was surprised to see ‘two’ perfectly golden toasted breads with half fried eggs and chopped garlic cloves on top, at just 90 bucks! Now thats what I call a super value for money, tasty meal. Plus, they has sprinkled a tad of red chilly powder on top of the eggs, which gave a nice contrast over the yellow yolk. The whole package was amazing and I loved each and every bite of this snack. Highly Recommended!SWEET LASSI – A below average drink. It was sweet alright, but was not thick enough, not it has a consistent taste. Should be improved.Cafe Deccan is a very good place to spend your evening with your loved ones, along with good food and beverages, without creating a hole in your pocket!Happy Burping!!!

This is a small cafe located just before Prabhat road meets Karve Road. Entry is through a small passage. The place looks lively due to the interesting graffiti painted on walls all over, which is hard to ignore. Seating is normal, and the overall ambience satisfactory.Positives: Simple items on the menu, fast and prompt service, can sit for long hours.Must haves: Masala maggi, Hot Coffee, Fries.

Good place to hangout with your friends. Good food with an equally reasonable price. Must try is the paneer Pizza. You can also add some corn to it.
