Horn ok please is one of the oldest place for food due to which trust factor for food is comparatively higher and when you have huge crowd to handle it becomes little diffucuilt but when it comes to food they give it full justice specially to main course i tried paneer masala mushroom mix veg dal takda missi roti nothing disappointed me even the litchi ice cream was one of the highlight i had there lassi was also upto the mark so overall a good to go experience i had
DHABA in the City!Away from hustle and bustle being in the city, Horn OK Please is a calm yet happening place on FC road. The place is quite popular for it’s Punjabi Dhaba style ambience. Decor here will surely give you some Punjabi vibes.Starting with drinks Punjabi Lassi and Bana Colada we also had Palak shorba and tomato shorba. The Shorba was just soothing for winter evening. For the starter had Aloo Hyderabadi, paneer Lababdar, paneer kathi roll and Amritsari tikki. I just loved them all. Specially the crunch of Amritsari tikki.Moving to the main course.Sarso da saag with makke ki roti. The authentic Punjabi taste.Daal saat Nizami I just loved the daal preparation. It was made from seven types of daals with desi tadka. Not only these but their menu had lot more North Indian delicacies. And finally dessertsPaan ice cream and matka kulfi were added to the delicious dinner.Overall had an amazing time here.
This dhaba styled restaurant on FC Road is a popular hangout joint, and is seen swarming with students .A small and sweet place with quite vibrant ambience and honestly visited this place years later. It so brings back old memories.Let us start with my food journey over here shall we?Started with their Tomato Pudina Shorba and Palak Shorba. The Palak Shorba was thinner in consistency and a great start to our meal. A warm and comforting dish with the goodness of spinach, garlic and mild spices. The Tomato Pudina Shorba tastewise was decent enough and still could have been better.Moving over had tried the Paneer Lajawab, Aloo Hydrebadi , Amritsari Tikki and Paneer Kathi Roll.I would suggest that one should try their Paneer Lajawab and Paneer Kathi Roll for sure. Both these dishes were served to us as a savory snack and taste was really good.Loved the preparationThen from the main there were so many interesting options to choose from but went ahead with Sarson Ka Saag with Makki KiRoti, Ajwaini Paneer , Cheese Angori and Dal Saat Nizam. Honestly liked the Daal Saat Nizam. The taste was simple and full of flavors and tasted well with Garlic Naan and Onion Kulcha. All the dishes were simple yet nourishing food prepared with pure ingredients but still there is a scope for improvement in terms of taste and flavors. The presentation was good enough though! The entire meal ended on a sweet note with their Matka Kulfi and Paan Icecream. Both the desserts were yum and Matka Kulfi sealed the entire food deal.So concluding, the staff over here were very courteous and the service was good.Had a good experience though.Happy Eating!Follow @yummydelightsdiary on Instagram
Horn ok please is one of the oldest restaurant on Fc road. Dhaba style veg food at its best price is their Moto. They’ve been serving customer over a decade now and they want everyone to know more about their venture. The ambiance gives you a glimpse of dhaba style feel with some great quotes , graffiti , trucks front part at the start. Horn at the front desk. Even it’s on the busy road or FC road , the inner part of restaurant is the most satisfying part and much needed thing to cool down and have a nice food.Let’s get started with food , shall we ?1. Tomato pudina shorba – Shorba is suppose to be watery but our version was extra watery which I personally didn’t like. It had that tanginess of tomato but the other spices were lacking to make a strong impact. It could’ve been better with strong spices to balance out the tanginess and give the exact feel of tomato pudina shorba.2. Palak shorba – Medium thick consistency which I was exactly looking for in shorba. The palak flavor was perfectly balanced and didn’t overpower others. It had a nice punch of garlic in every sip which was the best thing to have in winter.Engine garam-Appetisers:1. Paneer lajawab- when this dish arrived I was shocked after seeing the size of paneer. I loved the preparation , the paneer was coated with a nice sweet tangish marination which was finished in tandoor to give a nice charred flavor. The paneer was filled with thecha filling which was the best thing to accompany the paneer. The combination of marinated paneer and filling was soul satisfying. It had chilies, peanut, capsicum etc.2. Aloo Hyderabadi- small whole potatoes coated with a small amount of marination just to give a slight flavor of hyderabadi spices. The marination was on point and it had that tangy flavor of curd with spicy tick of chilies which went perfect with gooey creamy potatoes.1st/2nd gear which-Main course:1. Sarson ka saag with makki ki roti – sarso da saag had a nice consistent texture. It was low of flavor but, I felt it was mild could’ve been better with strong flavors of elements used in dish.Paneer makhani – Paneer makhani disappointed me this time. It was like just given to us. The paneer was half cooked and the gravy just tasted sweet. It wasn’t done properly.Overall experience – Just minor tweaks here and there needed otherwise food here can do wonders. Horn ok please have great potential to become one of the best on Fc road and I hope the changes will be made soon
Our family had dinner here while on the returning from visiting family and friends. Location is prime. Service is good and have good memories it seems. Restaurant interior is also very nice. We enjoyed the dinner.
Quality has deteriorated since I came here last time. Maybe Zomato Gold has not proven to be in favour of the restaurant.Starters:Tomato Dhania Shorba soup and Palak Shorba soup: It was diluted to a level that is unbearable. You don’t need spoon for having the soup. You can simply drink it by pouring it into a glass.Roomali Khakra and Hara bhara kebabs didn’t please as well.Main course and desserts:Paneer tikka was good.Naan ordered was served half cooked.Mocha madness tasted like a normal cold coffee and Limey Vanilla was not good as well.I had loved the restaurant when it was newly opened. It was an awesome experience even when it was not on Zomato Gold list.Visit to this restaurant again gave me a feeling that maybe a revisit to previously visited restaurant which was pleasant is not necessarily pleasant. Consistency is the key. Also older the reviews of food bloggers the lesser reliable they are.
