Very nice place with good food. One of the less crowded places around the prabhat road area. The sitting area is spacious with decent ambianceComing to the food, all the items we ordered were very well made and tasted nice. We had ordered aloo mint tikki, malai kofta and veg pulao.
If this review was just about the food I would be rating it a 4.5/5The service people aren’t well versed with the items on the menu, although they were polite. This became apparent very soon. The crumb fish fingers came with fries and tartar sauce. The quantity was good and it was well made, too. The paneer starters were also great.Apparently, all the indian main courses serve 4. For people who can’t parcel their food home, this is a nightmare. Because apparently none of the indian mains serve even 2. The manager too, failed to provide a solution as the billing is all computerized. So I had no choice but to have the Veg Jalfrezi with butter roti. Which was admittedly delicious.Edit: The continental food here is a hit or miss. The nachos were okayish (the tortilla wasn’t very good) The thai green prawn curry was a hit, huge quantity and tasty. Swiss rosti potatoes was a complete miss, cheese used was definitely some packaged type. Since my mom made it a point to inform the server about the cheese they did not charge us for that dish. Overall the service was decent. But to be on the safe side opt for indian food when you go here.
*veg review alert*Visited with my family on a Wednesday night. We were the only customers and because of that the service was top class. The ambience is OK, nothing over the top. Nice for a family outing. The food was surprisingly good! We ordered Paneer tikka masala and cheese chilly toast (8 pieces) for starters. Both were amazing. The captain suggested veg bhuna for main course with dal makhani. Veg bhuna was the best veg dish I had in a long time. The gravy and bhuna balls were cooked to perfection. It simply rocked! I didn’t like daal makhani much but my mom and wife loved it.I had also ordered Virgin Pina Colada which I found a tad bit watery. However its taste went exceptionally well with the starters. Can’t wait to return and try the non veg delicacies 🙂
Royal Symphony. One of the classy restaurant in deccan gymkhana area. Well its quite old and i used to visit this place when i was perhaps in nursery or something. Well talking about food.Tom yum soup.Nice, tangy soup with lots and lots of flavours. Yes it lacks that punch, that spicy tinge though.Chicken wings in buffalo sauce.Hands down winner. Literally you have to eat it as if no one is looking at you. All mess it does. Haha but worth it. Very tasty indeed. Buffalo sauce is tangy and sweet with a pungent aroma that is instantly noticable. Quantity is huge and garnishing was really done well.Nacho chips.Noce crunchy nachos with salsa dip and white sauce.Salsa dip wasnt upto the mark.Chicken Lasagne.Damn! Foodporn. Mind boggling it was. Its a must try.Minced chicken perfectly cooked in white sauce with pasta strips and amazing taste. All in all this hotel is a bit on expensive side but totally worth it.
The restaurant is good. And is a good option for business meetings. Food preparation was really good, but the service is not up to the mark. It’s slow and sometimes the waiters are in a hurry to serve and clean up the plates. One can get irritated with it. Veg and Non veg, both dishes were cooked very well, and tastes great. Ambience is good enough, but one might expect something better at this price point.
Really up to expectation Restaurant !!! I have been here twice with my family till now and got great experience both the times. You will get Great Food and ambience here. I am basically a foody person and tried most of the leading restaurants. Try a NonVeg plater it’s authentic. I found here is the attention of the Higher management (specially to be mentioned is the GM) to each and every guest here for their needs personally which is rarely found in other hotels. A must visit place. Location is also perfect.
The beauty of a restaurant attached to a hotel is that more than 80 % of the times you will get a table instantly whether its a weekday or weekend. Royal Symphony is one of those . Royal Symphony @ The President Hotel is situated off Prabhat Road. Good ambiance and Excellent Food Quality are the highlights of this place. The food prices are a bit on the higher side though. But that is not the case with drinks. You can enjoy a beer pint starting from Rs.110.This place is highly popular for hosting Kitty Parties and other get -togethers.Overall , a must visit !!!
