  So this recently opened place on FC road has actually blown my mind when it came to their seafood. The food was just superb and I feel like it is actually the best fish thali I’ve ever had.Kids surmai thali (₹400)Surmai fry, curry, rice bhakri, rice, solkadhi, mirgund papadThis was the one I had. The fish is extremely tasty and even the masala they use is unique. This kids thali is actually more than enough for a normal person!Special surmai thali (₹650)Surmai fry, surmai curry, prawns sautallela, prawns curry, prawns khichdi, prawns loncha, rice bhakris, rice, solkadhi, mirgund papadThe prawns khichdi here is just absolutely fantastic! Very flavourful and swimming in ghee.I’ve been here twice now and I think about their food often. Can’t wait to go back.

  ****The Fish Thali, FC Road, Pune**** परवा मला आणि Pallavi ला मासे खाण्याची इच्छा झाली होती.मित्राच्या सांगण्यावरून फर्ग्युसन काॅलेज रोडवर असलेल्या छोट्या पण राॅयल कारभार वाल्या “द फिश थाली” ला “धडक” दिली, हाॅटेलचा अनुभव “सैराट” होता.गेल्यागेल्या टेबलावर कोकमाचे स्वागत पेय (वेलकम ड्रिंक) ठेवले. आम्ही सुरूवात केली ती बोंबील फ्राय घेऊन आणि एक कोळंबी थाळी मागवली.मासे मस्त ताजे होते आणि योग्य चव होती. क्वालीटी सोबत क्वांटीटीचा योग चांगलाच जुळून आला.थाळीमधे तांदूळाची भाकरी होती पण ती मनासारखी नाही वाटली.जवळजवळ ५-६ कोळंबी फ्राय केलेल्या , ३-४ कोळंबी रस्यात, एक पीस मासा रस्यामध्ये (नाव नाही माहित), कोळंबी लोणचे चवीपुरते. पोह्यांचे पापड, सोलकढी अशी साग्रसंगीत थाळी खाऊन मजा आली.बोंबील फ्राय सोबत कोकमाची चटणी तर अप्रतीमचजर कोळंबी फ्राय एक कमी देऊन कोळंबी लोणचे जरा जास्त दिले तर अधिक आनंद होईल.सर्वीस – ५चव – ५स्वच्छता – ५मुल्यांकन – ५बील – ६७०/- (४५० थाळी + २०० बोंबील + १ चपाती)#HarshTag #SolapuriPunekar #SeaFood #FCRoadFoodOptions #FishThali — eating dinner at The Fish Thali.

  Thanks to the management for the idea of fish restaurant on F.C.Road. Happy with the taste, quality and the quantity of food in thali. We ordered Special Fish-Pomfret Thali. Taste and number of prawns in it was sufficient for two. A free welcome drink made up of Kokam was unique in taste. Prawns Khichdi was bit ok-ok in taste. Loved the Promfret Rawa fry. Please make it more chatapata. Served Bhakri even tough Roti was ordered. Place is easy to locate from main F.C.Road. Rates are also affordable. Staff is helpful. Service found bit slow. No washroom only basin*.Overall a good experience for me. Will visit again soon.

The happy artworks uplift your mood as you walk in. Simple minimalistic décor screams “mom-made” everywhere. This place just makes you feel at home. The Fish Thali is the brainchild of Shibani and Hrishikesh Samel. The heart of this place is Mrs. Rajashree Samel(mother of Hrihikesh). Her passion for food is clearly visible here. The produce served here is freshly picked from Sassoon Dock every morning, the masalas are homemade from scratch, the curries made on order only, the recipes have her unique stamp.The tangy Kokum welcome-drink sets your tongue rolling.For starters we had Prawns n Bombil fry. The thin rawa coating was crispy. The Prawns were succulent, juicy with a slight tang. The Bombil was just falling apart. Perfectly fried, these were highly addictive. The chutneys lay ignored on one side. I had to do justice to the Prawns n Bombil, couldn’t share them with anyone.For mains, we ordered for the Special Thali(greedy us wanted to leave no stone unturned).I had the Prawns Thali – Prawn fry, Prawns curry, Surmai curry, Jawlyachi chutney, Prawns pickle, Kolambi Sautallela, Ukdichya Tandalachya Bhakrya, Prawns Khichadi, Mirgunda and Solkadi. Ufff just typing all this and I am hungry!!!!!Both the curries had a different taste. Each one euphoric. The chutney and the pickle were no less in competition. The pickle is home made too. Kolambi sautallela were prawns sautéed in spices and onions. Another explosive delight(Yesterday was a Prawnosgasmic day for me). The bhakri was made from steamed rice flour – super soft and yummy. The Prawns Khichadi made with sajuk tup was ultraorgastic. The crunchy Mirgunda was the perfect accompaniment. The hearty Solkadi nailed the entire experince. Just what we needed after such a heavy meal. Each preparation here was impeccable leaving us salivating for more.My suggestion – skip the starters and directly go for the thali. The best part you can share the thali too(frankly speaking I wouldn’t). If you like spicy mention it in advance.Hands down this has been “My Best Fish Thali” experience in Pune till date. Don’t believe me just go there once to experience the Fishogasms yourself!!!

  New Joint on FC road with the sole focus on Seafood. Chose to have the Surmai Thali which had 2 pieces of Surmai Fry, portion of prawn curry, portion of Surmai curry coupled with rice bhakri & rice. Overall a great meal which was satisfying. Easy on the pocket & definitely recommending this place!Hopefully the quality and the freshness of the food sustains! Definitely going to visit again

  Totally loved this place. As I was travelling to pune alone for some work happened to lunch here. I loved this place to bits. The owner of the place was such a good host and was so hospitable. The best part is they make their own prawns pickles. Something that I was craving since years, the owner also packed some for me on the house to carry it to Bombay. I had their prawns Thali. Since I was alone . Couldn’t eat more. The Thali was delicious and suffice for one. The prawns were fresh. The preparation was super traditional just like the home style. I’m definitely visiting this place everytime I’m in Pune. Specially for the pickle ❤️

The place is extremely clean and perfect for families to visit .Now coming to main part ie food as the name indicates this place serves mainly different Fish thalisWe opted for Surmai Thali and Bombil ThaliBefore thali they served us small glass of Kokum saar which was very nice with tangy and bit spicy after tasteThe fish Thali contains 2 medium pieces of Surmai fry, Prawns curry with big -6/7 prawns,Surmai curry, Jawlyachi chutney, prawns pickle, 2 Ukdichya Tandalachya Bhakrya, rice and MirgundaBombil thali conatins same items except Bombil fry and Bombil CurryFish Fry – Surmai and bombil Fry – fresh fish, awesome homely taste, not too much masala, no extra coating so it retains the flavour of the fish !! #musttryBoth Prawns curry and and Fish curry were different in taste and awesome in tasteWhat surprised me that they had good amount of Prawns and medium piece of Surmai in curryI have hardly seen any place serving good fish pieces in curry provided in ThaliThe bhakris were really soft and prawns pickle was very good addition to thaliCherry on top was the pricing Surmai Thali was Rs 400 and Bombil Thali is for Rs 300I have not come across any better fish Thali in Pune with such variety and quality food along with good ambiance and decorAlso Very friendly and helpful staff and the owners are very courteous .
