  Maa Durga mess restaurant is located opposite to the lane along Priyadarshini girls hostel.I was introduced to this place by a friend and I’m thankful ever since. The fact that it’s there on the way during my daily commute makes me substitute the breakfast at home by two delicious Gobhi parathas from here!Coming to the place, it is your quintessential 00s semi-open mess restaurant with the menu written on a wall embedded blackboard, by which I also mean they definitely serve healthy food at low prices.Parathas are probably their forte, with around 6 types being served here, and all of them grade A on taste. A personal favourite of mine which you might’ve guessed already, is the Gobhi paratha. A treat for the spicy lover, the paratha has a ridiculous dough-to-stuffing ratio, which when combined with the chutney guarentees a lotta ‘want’ in there.Haven’t really explored much of their other items, but judging from the many hostelites ordering Thalis, the most of their menu is good too. For a mess restaurant, it is surprising that they have ice-cream, chips, cold drinks, biscuits.All of this at a very low rate means you must visit Durga mess and restaurant if you happen to crave some tasty parathas or home food- when home really isn’t the place you’re going!Taste: 4.5/5Ambience: 3/5Service: 4.5/5Value for money: 5/5USP: Them yummylicious parathas!
