This place has a very unique menu for us. A home craafted brewery tweaked to get the best beers. They have really good beers. They even serve absolutely amazing food and to perfection. What all I had-Soups-*Beer and Bacon SoupThis combination is definitely worth trying here.. Thick consistency soup with bacon strips and a tinge of beer makes it really very tasty!*Veg Chowder SoupEven this soup had a very thick consistency and just yummy to haveBoth the soups were served in edible bread bowls and added to its beauty of having such delicious soups!Starters-*Masala Mar keThese are a variety of Munchies you can get while having beer or even if your not, because they taste so amazing each with different flavour and twist and healthy as well!!*Sirachi Chicken Tikka ChaatChicken with chaat interesting isn’t it!! Loved this dish as I never even though about such a combination. Chicken Chicken perfectly cooked and juicy. The flavours that the chaat gives along with chicken are very different and something you can’t miss!!*Thai Banana Leaf fishAmazing one! Served as a package wrapped in a banana leaf freshly prepared fish. The fish was soft and covered with beautiful flavours.*Cheese Chilly Paneer TikkaPerfectly cooked paneer served along with green chutney and perfectly balanced with sweetness added to it with onion marmalade.*Lollipop Hakka StyleJust ordinary chicken lollipop with extraordinary hakka style flavours!!!Mains-* Veg DumplingsServed individually in a half shell like vessel along with its broth so that everyone can have their own broth. The Dumplings are quite spicy and juicy so make sure you balance the taste with the sides given.* Butter Chicken TiffinA whole meal for chicken lovers!! Comes in a packed tiffin that contains butter chicken, paratha, Dal makhni and steam rice.* Porcini PastaOne of the best paste to have. Cheesy pasty loaded with porcini mushrooms. Very satisfying!!!*Chef Mings PizzaThin crust pizza with loads of toppingsDesserts-* ChimichangaThis is something different to have. Comes in triangular shaped covers stuffed inside which contains coconut and come sweet stuffing. It’s served with two kinds of sauces one is sweet and the other is spicy to balance the taste!*Red velvet Ice CreamThe ice cream was very creamy and soft and with right amount of red velvet pieces that were small and balanced to the portion of ice cream!! I loved this oneOverall it’s a very nice and cozy place, some of the seatings have a very good view of the outside. The music played added to its beauty. Loved the interiors very much. I’ll definitely recommended this place!

BabylonOne of the best places to visit in Kothrud, Period. Since Kaling hospitality entered the heart of Kothrud with its Building which has not 1 , not 2 but more than 3 different restaurants, Kothrud has changed drastically and all thanks to them otherwise it was looking like impossible. Being a Kothrudkar I was always dreaming that we will also have the same restaurants as Kp, Baner area and God finally listened. Babylon offers the same level of customer satisfaction as their other restaurants which makes it even better for us.Let’s directly get into the Foodstuff,Bacon and Beer Soup – I’ve never imagined there will be such combination means I’m not from Culinary background but how can you use beer and bacon is the same thing that also Soup. The soup comes in an edible bread bowl which is something I personally loved it. The bread soaks up all the flavors of Soup and the experience is just too good. The medium-thick consistency of soup with a mild taste of beer in every sip gives you the chance to have bacon and beer at the same time. The crispy bacon strips were just too good to be true. The number of strips we had in the bowl was more than enough. Loved it.Sriracha Chicken Tikka Chaat – One of the most unique and innovative things I’ve seen on their Menu. Means how can you give chaat experience with the chicken tikka in it. The dual flavors really made it the best dish on the menu. The plate was loaded with crispy chatpata chaat at the top was followed by sriracha chicken. The chaat was accompanied by lettuce to balance out the flavor and give a nice juicy touch to cancel out the dryness. Crispy chaat flavor followed by juicy lettuce and spicy sriracha to end with tender chicken never had such combination but it was really good. Definitely go for it.Veg Dumplings – A nice thin layered dumplings with a thick filling of assorted minced veggies is accompanied by spicy Thai soup. The soup was the main reason it felt different. The spicy Thai chili soup really stands out in this dish. Do try it.Overall Verdict – As I said it’s one of the best places in Kothrud to visit with friends, family or even your loved one. Every single item we had was on point, definitely coming back to try more.

Hey friends I visited this place almost for 6-7 times now. But I can say that this is one of the best hangout places in the town. You won’t get bored even after you sit for more than 3-4 hours.Ambiance: very classy ambiance with wide spread across the entire floor. High seats and regular seats both are there. So you can choose your favorite. All the beer tanks are visible which makes you more happy because you can actually see your drink.Wooden tables with shine makes it more attractive. One unique thing I noticed that they have put old bulbs at the sealing which are in thousands of numbers. But that looks very good. It gives all different look to ambiance.Service: I have visited this place almost on every day of the week, so can tell that service time is very good. After your order, you get your food well within 10 mins. On weekends this might change bt not more. Also main thing is owners them selves help in serving to customers and they even interact with everyone which makes you feel like home. Thumbs up to this.Food: I have tried almost everything from the menu. Bt main thing here is beers and that to craft beers. This place has Indians 2nd largest and Maharashtras largest brewery and no boudts all beers are amazing.1. Hefeweizen: This is my all time order here. They also have Belgian wheat, IPA, Apple cider, Oatmeal scout. From food1. Masala Marke: Its a chakna platter, it has almost 5 dishes and all the roadside chat dishes. Chatni peanuts is my most favorite from that group.2. Bacon and Beer Soup: Wow what a combination. I never tried bacon before, bt this creamy soup was so amazing that I fall in love with it.3. Chicken stuffed baitha roti: if you are chicken kheema lover and also loves some spicy food, then this is the dish for you. Roti stuffed with spicy and fresh chicken kheema and cut into small bites makes it very easy to eat and it goes very well with your beer.4. Mutton Gulouti Kebeb: you get authentic gulouti Kebeb here. This will just melt in your mouth. Medium spicy in taste bt full of flavors.5. Thelewale Noodle: These are proper Indian street Chinese food. Bt very healthy than actual street noodles. And accompanied with schezawan chatni makes it very tasty.6. Sriracha Chicken Tikka Chat: This is very unique dish consist of Chat, puri, chicken, shev, pomegranate and chat masala. What an amazing combo this is.7. Broth Chicken Dumplings with red chili: Dumplings served in spicy broth and small red chili in it. You must eat entire Dumplings with broth and chili to get that spicy kick. Must try8. Banana Leaf Fish: Fish coocked in banana leaf marinated with spicy masala and also with lemon grass. Very balance in taste. Fish was fresh.9. Peanut butter and rum connoli: This dessert was amazing, not that sweet bt peanut butter and rum combination makes it very tasty. So next time if you are willing to cheel with variety of beers and amazing food then this is the place for you.Thank you

    ## Review Summary available at the end of the review for those who are not much into reading. Those following my food trail know by now that I keep travelling a lot. After a two year long stint in Abu Dhabi, I had finally returned to good ‘ol Pune and called up on my gang of hoggers to meet up and catch up over beers and a movie. Now, undoubtedly Pune’s restaurant scene has set itself a class apart from other metros, thanks to lead that it generated in the area of craft beers. So also, I have been hearing quite a lot about Maharashtra’s largest brewery a.k.a ‘Babylon Craft Brewery’ from all the posts that have been floating around for a while. So there it was, the plan was set and the tables booked for a lazy Sunday afternoon. Although just 3 of us could actually make it to the table, we left no tables unturned to swipe across through the choicest of dishes from the entire menu.Beers: Well I had 5 beers pouring out of the tap and while we tried all samplers, I loved Oatmeal stout the most. A very definite roasted flavour of oatmeal and a hint of coffee to accompany; this beer was winner of the day. Belgian Wit and IPA were close contenders although. The IPA had a dry finish and moderately strong but bitter at the same time. The lager is also high in demand but we missed out on having that as the old batch was already over when we made our visit.Masala maar ke (Roasted peanuts, Chutney peanuts, boiled chana, Chana jor, manglorean mix): Drinks need a partner in crime – a well thought off chakna and more often than not the chakna that I get at most places reminds me of ‘Crime master gogo’ — Haath ko aaya mu na laga! 😀 … No seriously. A good chakna can take the boozing experience to next level and this can be experienced right here at Babylon when you order there ‘Masala maar ke’ platter. The peanuts are simply brimming with respective flavours and they pair so well with chilled beers that you feel like having just chakna and skip on the food. However, don’t you dare make that mistake; for the food, plans on packing some ecstatic surprise for you. And did I mention the price-point? Why didn’t you check that out yourself? #MustHaveBeer and Bacon Soup: Having owner joining you on your table brought its own perks, and I figured out that one item that’s driving heads crazy is the beer and bacon soup served at Babylon. We tried ordering that and were lucky to just scoop off just 1 serving; and this when the clock was showing 2 p.m. mind you. Aaammaazzinngggg is the word. Simply fell in love with it. However, a word of caution, it has a tendency to change taste as it cools down so make sure to slurp it off piping hot. #MindBlowing Peri peri arbi tuk: Something for veggies to cheer for. Slightly on the spicy end (you read the peri-peri part, right?), this potent combination of deep-fried arbi tossed with caramelized onion rings and coriander in peri-peri masala tantalizes your buds enough to cool them off with a sip of chilled beer. So yes, a fire and ice combination it is! #SpicySurprisePot roast pork with sweet hoisin sauce: I did try this, loved the hoisin sauce with the abundance of scallions, however; not too sure about pork roast cooking. I will let your fork be the judge here. Teekha chicken Baida roti: Chicken kheema stuffed in puff pastry and deep fried. The chicken is not too ‘teekha’ so don’t worry on the spicy quotient however; it obviously has a tendency to get oily more often than not. The taste, however, is very nice and pairs really well with the accompanying mint chutney. #Yumm Cheese chilli paneer tikka with onion jam: Yeah you heard that right, onion jam. The name itself intrigued me so much that we ended up ordering it. (yeah, I am not allergic to veg food, Yet! And we also had a veggie with us…..so…..you got the point right). The dish was simply brilliant, thanks to the best in class paneer sourced and the Chef’s culinary skills at pairing the contrasting flavours so well. The dish in general was more on bland side and you love the occasional burst of flavours playing hide and seek in each morsel. #VeggieDelightVeg dumplings: Pretty standard affair here but served with chilli vinegar in small bone china gobble up petri dishes. It was fun to just to have them this way. #GoodPrawn cigars: Something which was a bit let down, for they were way too oily. The oily pastry covering was way too overpowering for the mild prawn filling to be relished. #WillSkipPorcini Penne pasta: Thick creamy pasta with generous porcini mushrooms for the contrast was something loved by everyone. The consistency was really nice however I wished the penne should have been cooked little more. We promptly passed on the feedback and it was equally well received. #DelightThelewale prawn noodles: While we had already approached the tipping point long back with all those beers and food; the fact that we were there for like 5 hours got us into ordering few more dishes. Yeah I know, what you are thinking – top class Hoggers — Yupp we totally are and extremely proud at being one. 😀 So up next we had another dish with thought provoking name – the Thelewale prawn noodles. ‘Thela’ – or roadside food booth serving one of those oily, wok tossed, made in a jiffy – kinda noodles was indeed one of the dishes on the menu and I would say they did break the protocol in style with this one. #TotallyDesiAmma’s amul cheese pizza: A classic tribute to pan pizza made at home with the most basic of ingredients that are available at shop next door – handmade pizza base, amul cheeze, ketchup and veggies. This may make you nostalgic and take you back to your college days. #HomeFoodChocolate Chimichanga: Nothing much chimichanga about it; but it was a decent finisher to all the delicious food. Apart from the sweet molten chocolate filling that it had, it was also contrasted with sweet and sour raspberry coulis. The dish not so great in itself but I loved the concept of sweet chocolate contrasting with sour coulis. #CanTry##### Summary #####Hits: Amazing place for those laid back evenings with chilled craft beers and equally amazing food to pair along. The service was spot on and the ambience a true delight. They have ample parking provision made so don’t worry about your car being towed away.Misses: They have less variety of craft beers at the moment. They got the setup in place, now they need a world class brew master who can do justice to setup and explore the magical world of craft beer to its true potential. We like good food, but we definitely LOVE great food! Add to your filter great food, music and home made beer (other drinks available as well) and you get nothing else but BABYLON!This is THE PLACE one can visit at anytime of the day and it will surely lit up your day if you go during lunch and will bring a fantastic end to the day if you go at dinner time. Their very own freshly brewed beers are a must have in your bucket list! They brew 6 beers in their very own brewery namely – IPA, LAGER, HEFEWEIZEN, OATMEAL STOUT, APPLE CIDER and BELGIAN WIT.Along with beer they have some exceptional food making love together with beer! Some of them are:1. Beer and bacon soup – This is the one of a kind soup which I have tasted here! Served in a bread bowl with melted cheese on the bread cap is just yum! The taste is amazing and is a perfect start to the meal!2. Sriracha chicken Tikka Chaat – Who said Chaat should be pure veg? Here you have a wonderful cold chicken starter to lit up your taste buds! Beautifully cooked chicken with Chaat goes so well!3. Teekha chicken baida roti – looking for finger food? Grab on to this one and I am sure you won’t let this go! Spices and chicken are the best combo and when it’s stuffed in the baida roti, it’s yum! Highly recommended!4. Thelewale prawns noodles – Street food isn’t necessarily found on the streets. You can get your 90s memories back now with these amazing prawns noodles! They have that perfect quantity and taste of street style food served in an elegant way!5. Chicken dumplings – these dumplings which look like any other dumplings are served with a broth and small piece of chhilly at the bottom. Eat it together and you are in heaven ❤️!6. Banana leaf fish – It’s hard to cook fish by looking at it and even harder when you cannot see while it’s cooking inside the banana leaf! The marinations were absolutely delicious and the fish was cooked beautifully! Heaven on Earth for seafood lovers!7. Peanut butter and rum cannoli – rum in a dessert is always delicious and when it’s paired with peanut butter and something crispy, it’s even better! Perfectly fried cannolis stuffed with peanut butter and drizzled with rum sauce is just perfect!
