I was missing the Kerala Parota from a long time, and what I uncovered was a goldmine in Fatima Nagar! Quickly I ordered 4 Parotas, Chicken Chettinadu and Chicken fry Kerala style. From the food images you will know how much amazing the food was. The chicken in the both the dishes, be it fry or gravy were perfectly south Indian. And so were the Parotas. The service was quick and I guess I was in luck as the dishes were served very quickly. Othiri Nanni Saar!
The best Butter Chicken in the town, period. The place might be a little run down, the tandoori may be overcooked and and you might have to eat on the footpath a busy evening. But as soon as you have that delicious butter chicken, it seems all worth it 🙂
Very bad experience with hyderabad biriyani. Just it for the name of hyderabad biriyani but i think its the insult for hyd bryni. No taste and looking whity with no spicies mixup with the quantity.
A small restaurant situated in Fatima nagar doesn’t leave to surprise u with their lip smacking food. One of the rarest places in Pune to serve rolls in original style like in Kolkata, is surely worth a try. Other dishes like biryani is also good.
It’s an amazing little place for good food. If you are looking for candle light or an ‘ambience ambience’ place then this is not for you. But! if you are looking for a place with good food and a quantity to overload two tummies when u order for one then this a place you should head for. Pocket friendly and yum food. I usually visit them for Kerala food. So that definitely a recommendation from me.*Must try – kerala chicken fry, any of the kerala meals.!
The reason I’ve given a 5 rating is for the fact that the food absolutely rocks. There is not much in the form of ambience except for a few tables and benches so ordering your food as a take-away is the best way to enjoy it. The tandoori chicken is tasty, the Chicken Malabar Biryani is lovely and fragrant and the parathas are crumbly and soft. I’ve yet to try the rest of the food on the menu, but I’m sure it’s good.
Follow one simple rule when at Vishal no expectationsTheir food is cheap and service is quickNot for the faint hearted but they do serve some good bread if you ask them to make it crispyThe curries mostly taste the same but in that price it’s only fair. They are very accommodating at Vishal
